My MUST-HAVE Apps – Larry Kramer, Author of C-Scape

We’re starting a new series here at Wall St. Cheat Sheet. If you’d like to be considered for sharing your “Must-Have” apps, contact us with your list and bio.

Media guru Larry Kramer thinks the Apple (AAPL) iPad is a revolutionary step into the future of media. We agree that tablets are the game-changers we’ve all been waiting for. However, it’s still hard to find great apps because the stores are flooded and the “Tops” lists hardly ever change.

So, we’ll be asking our favorite people which MUST-HAVE apps they’d like to recommend to the rest of us. Here are Larry’s:

5. Angry Birds

This is an addicting game … time flies.
Angry Birds HD - Chillingo Ltd

4. New York Post

This is the best translation of a newspaper experience on to the iPad. This app reserves the look and feel of the Post, but is reconstructed to work efficiently on an interactive platform.
New York Post - NYP Holdings, Inc.

3. MLB.com

I watched the Giants live all year! And what a year it was!
At Bat 2010 for iPad - MLB.com

2. Kindle

Right now, Amazon’s (AMZN) Kindle app is better than iBooks.
Kindle - Amazon.com

1. WSJ

The Wall Street Journal app (NWSA) is slow to load, but offers access to a ton of information in real-time. The app updates the paper when you sign on. The app also offers the advantage of an editorial staff that regularly updates around-the-clock to make it valuable at all times.
The Wall Street Journal. - Dow Jones & Company, Inc.
