Pandora Plunges After Apple’s iTunes Radio Numbers and 2 Other Hot Stocks to Watch

Shares are getting pounded Monday, down by almost 10 percent in high volume, following Apple’s announcement that more than 11 million unique listeners have checked out its iTunes Radio product since it debuted. On Monday, Apple said that over 200 million iOS devices are now running iOS 7, the new operating system that it unveiled about two weeks ago. iTunes Radio is a free, ad-supported Internet radio service that is joined into Apple’s iOS 7.


Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F): Current price $17.03

Ford introduces its all-new 2014 Transit Connect Taxi, providing the best-in-class performance, low operating costs, and enhanced comfort and flexibility for the North American taxi market. The redesigned Ford Transit Connect Taxi was introduced Sunday at the 2013 International Association of Transportation Regulators Conference in St. Louis. The vehicle has been designed to Ford’s light-truck commercial durability standards, and comes with a new powertrain, the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with a new, fuel-efficient six-speed automatic transmission.


Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT): Current price $32.80

On Monday, Microsoft showcased its next generation Surface tablet at an event in New York City. The new Surface Pro 2 provides a 75-percent longer battery life and is 95 percent faster than any laptops on the market, said the company. Microsoft also revealed some new accessories for the product, including a cover that also functions as a power source, and a docking station that can click in with a display port and is able to power two monitors simultaneously.
