Will Apple Launch 2 New iPads in March?
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is headed to a twice-a-year product refresh cycle that will result in the company releasing an updated full-sized iPad and the second-generation iPad mini in March, Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets has said.
According to Apple Insider, White said in a research note to investors that his checks with industry sources at the Consumer Electronics Show had suggested that two iPad versions were on their way to the market barely five months after the tablets were last updated in October.

The new 9.7-inch iPad will be lighter and thinner than the fourth-generation model, according to White. He did not mention if the tablet would have the same A6X processor as the previous model. The iPad mini, meanwhile, will maintain the form factor of its initial version but upgrade components, such as the processor, the analyst added. White did not say if the smaller tablet will receive a high-resolution Retina display, a feature that has earlier been in the news as a potential addition.
In a research note earlier this month, White had said that Apple was preparing to launch new iPhones in several different sizes and colors in the May-June timeframe.
