Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is trying to move forward in being a legitimate competitor to the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad. However, it is clear the Windows 8 dual PC and tablet interface is still in its early stages. Tech reviewers are already not impressed with certain functionality.
“Dealing with the desktop mode on a Windows 8 tablet is just like using Windows 7 on one today. It’s not very good. Things are small on the screen and hard to tap accurately, the same problem I’ve had with Windows 7 touch tablets for years,” says James Kendrick on zdnet.com. Looks like Steve Ballmer is not yet ready to challenge the legacy of Steve Jobs. At least he’s guaranteed to crush Research in Motion’s (NASDAQ:RIMM) Playbook.
