German Carrier HINTS at September iPhone 5 Launch

A German carrier is dropping big hints that Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) next-generation iPhone 5 will become available starting in September. This week, Mobilcom Debitel started sending emails out to customers offering information about the ‘iPhone 5,’ according to 9to5Mac. “In September, it’s finally time for a new generation of smartphone to go on sale,” the carrier said in a graphic. “Mobilcom-debitel allows you to find free e-mail about everything worth knowing about iPhone.”

While the ad does not confirm any of the features rumored to be part of the new device, it stirs up many of them: “The new smartphone special surprises? Perhaps a bigger screen of 4 inches or a thinner cell touchscreen? The world expects a faster processor or higher graphics performance? Maybe even a memory of 1 GB? It will be exciting…”

Rumors have abounded that Apple is planning one of its special events on September 12 that will see the launch of the much-awaited new iPhone with a bigger screen size, faster chips, a redesigned dock connector, and LTE capability. Apple has not made a public statement yet.
