Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) product rumors never seem to stop swirling, and now a French designer has come out to say a “revolutionary” product he helped design for the company is set to be launched in about eight months’ time.
Philippe Starck, famous for designing standout versions of products such as chairs and electric cars, told France-Info radio and French newspaper Le Figaro that the new product will be launched by the end of the year.
Apple is expected to release the iPhone 5 this fall, and is rumored to be coming up with a changed design that is much more ergonomic as well as refreshing enough to deal with the growing competition from Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android equipment makers, including Samsung.
However, a much more plausible guess by the Hardmac blog is that the product Starck is talking about is either the Apple television or the remote control that would power the TV. Starck did not give any other details and cited Apple’s “religious cult of secrecy,” according to the English translation.
