Will Apple’s NEW TV Launch With These Standout Features?

New details seem to have emerged from Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) supply sources in Taiwan about the company’s anticipated television product, with analyst Brian White saying the device may feature unique motion detection technology and a touchscreen remote similar to a cheaper iPad.

White said the details were shared with him by supply chain sources at the Computex trade show in Taipei, Taiwan. He said it was hinted to him that Apple would unveil the television by the end of this year. He wrote to investors that the special motion detection technology would be the primary way of controlling the device, while the remote control with a unique “touch panel form factor” would provide additional controls.

White has been positive about the possibility of a full-fledged television set from the company and forecast last October that the device would feature iOS, Siri, and FaceTime. Last week, White said Apple was preparing for an “exciting” September, which would see a new iPhone and a smaller iPad being launched.
