The KarJenner clan is certainly one that is full of surprises. It seems that almost weekly, there is a scandal involving one of the six siblings, their spouses, or their mom (who also serves as their manager) Kris Jenner. Though it is common knowledge that Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner have a different father than Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian Jr., there’s also a question of paternity involving one of the Kardashians.

For years, fans of the KarJenners have suspected that Khloe Kardashian is not the biological daughter of Robert Kardashian Sr. In fact, many conspiracy theorists believe that Khloe Kardashian’s biological father is none other than O.J. Simpson. But just how did this rumor start, and why has it persisted all these years?

Khloe Kardashian’s father

This particular conspiracy theory has been around for ages, but it truly got traction back when Joni Migdal, a close family friend of the Kardashians spoke out about Khloe Kardashian’s parentage. Migdal confessed that Robert Kardashian Sr. knew full well that Khloe Kardashian wasn’t his biological daughter. “He didn’t want a DNA test done. He didn’t want to find out anything. But he knew that she wasn’t his. His confirmation to me was, ‘She’s mine and I don’t care who the father is.’” Migdal said in a statement to the media.

It wasn’t long before others began to back up Migdal’s claim. Khloe Kardashian’s stepmother, Ellen Kardashian, also admitted that Robert Kardashian Sr. confessed that he knew he wasn’t Khloe Kardashian’s biological father shortly before his death. Of course, this statement caused both Kim and Khloe Kardashian to lash out saying that she was spreading lies about their family. But, Ellen Kardashian maintained that she was speaking only the truth. “I am simply stating the facts and the truth — their father’s truth. I simply delivered hand-written diaries from their father” she declared.

O.J. Simpson

So where does Simpson play into this theory? Robert Kardashian Sr. was one of Simpson’s lawyers and famously defended him when he was on trial for double homicide. Simpson became fast friends with the Kardashian family, but abruptly his relationship with them seemed to come to a halt. Many fans speculate that this is because he and Kris Jenner had an affair, which resulted in the birth of Khloe Kardashian. The timelines of said affair were consistent enough to make this outlandish theory probable, which is where the speculation began to spread like wildfire.

The rumors are so egregious that even Simpson himself is privy to them. Though rumors have swirled about whether he and Kris Jenner did have an affair, Simpson has always maintained with the conviction of a guest on the Maury Show that is is not the father of Khloe Kardashian. Still, despite Kris Jenner and Simpson debunking these rumors, many fans are not convinced. Some fans even went as far as to compare Simpson’s baby pictures with that of True Thompson‘s (who is Khloe Kardashian’s daughter) citing similarities.

Baby True

The paparazzi went as far as to ask Simpson if he was excited and proud of Khloe Kardashian when baby True was born, insinuating he could have a new grandchild, but Simpson seemed to take it all in stride and once again deny the claims. “Well, for Bob (referring to Robert Kardashian Sr.), God bless his soul, yeah. I don’t know for me. I don’t think for me I have nothing to do with it. I would be proud … but trust me, I had nothing to do with it” the 71-year-old declared.

Family

Of course, true conspiracy theorists are still digging up “evidence” to support this theory, but for all intents and purposes, it seems that Simpson is not Khloe Kardashian’s father. Of course, there are people who still suspect that Khloe Kardashian has a different father than the rest of her siblings, but really it’s none of our business if she does. After all, DNA doesn’t necessarily make a family.
