Who is ‘Bull’ Actor Michael Weatherly’s Wife, Bojana Jankovic?
Michael Weatherly is an actor who played the popular character Agent Tony DiNozzo on NCIS from 2003 to 2016. He left the show to take on the title role of Dr. Jason Bull in the courtroom drama Bull.
On his new series, Weatherly became involved in controversy when his co-star, Eliza Dushku, accused him of sexual harassment. The actor later apologized for any comments that made her uncomfortable. Ever since those harassment claims surfaced, fans have had questions about if he’s married and to who. Here’s what we know Weatherly’s successful wife, Bojana Jankovic, and their relationship.
Weatherly’s first wife
Before he met Jankovic, Weatherly was married to actress Amelia Heinle. The two wed in 1995 but divorced two years later. Weatherly and Heinle share one son named August, who was born in 1996 and is following in his parents’ footsteps.
“He played two roles, and I was bursting with pride,” Weatherly said referring to a play August was in.
After he got divorced the Bull star became engaged to Jessica Alba, who he worked with on Dark Angel. They were together for three years but called it quits in 2003. When they split Alba said she immediately went and did something he was against.
“He was really anti-tattoos, and I felt like after I broke up with him, I, like, found myself again,” she told Stephen Colbert, before adding, “It’s, like, unnecessary to talk about this. He’s like a famous actor.”
Who is Bojana Jankovic?
In 2007, Weatherly met his future wife at a bar in Vancouver while chatting with one of his friends about being single.
“My friend Colleen was saying, ‘Michael, aren’t you lonely?’ I said, ‘Not really. I’m pretty happy. Works for Clooney!’” Weatherly recalled. “I kept looking out of the corner of my eye and seeing this ravishing, gorgeous beauty.”
“We made eye contact,” Jankovic remembered. “And that was it.”
Jankovic is a Serbian-born doctor. Her family moved to Canada when she was 13 and after graduating from medical school she moved to the United States. Today, she is an internist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.
She’s also on the advisory board for Healthy Child Healthy World, which is an organization that teaches parents how to create healthier homes and environments for their kids. Her Instagram bio states, “My goal is to inspire, educate, and empower people to achieve their wellness and life goals.”
Jankovic and Weatherly tied the knot in 2009 and have two children, Olivia and Liam.
Weatherly says he’s ‘lucky’ to have her as his partner
Weatherly opened up in an interview with People about his work-life balance and being fortunate to have Jankovic as his wife.
“I’m a single-track-mind person, so at work I do my work, but at home I’m devoted to my kids. I’m lucky. I have a wonderful wife and am well on my way to a very happy retirement,” he said, adding, “I just gotta educate these kids first!”
