Who Is Roger Stone’s Wife, Nydia Betran?
Political consultant Roger Stone has made headlines over the years for a number of reasons. Most recently his name appeared in the news after he was arrested by the FBI on Friday at his home in Florida.
On Jan. 24, a grand jury indicted Stone for one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements, and one count of witness tampering. Stone has said that he will plead not guilty to the charges against him.
While they are many questions about Donald Trump’s former adviser people are also interested in learning more about his wife, Nydia Betran. Here’s what we know about the woman married to Stone and why the couple’s sex life has made national news in the past.
Betran is a former model and photographer

Betran was born on May 8, 1946, in Cuba. When her family relocated to the United States in 1959, she began working as a model appearing in local advertisements.
She was also interested in photography and became a news photographer covering a number of events such as presidential campaigns. While working on President Ronald Reagan’s campaign, she met Stone. They two began dating and tied the knot in Las Vegas in 1992.
They were both married before. Stone was with his first wife, Anne Wesche, from 1974 to 1990.
Stone and Betran posted swinger ads
The couple made headlines in 1996 when Stone was forced to resign as a consultant on Bob Dole’s campaign after the National Enquirer ran a story that the pair had posted swinger ads looking for male partners.
“Hot, insatiable lady and her handsome body builder husband, experienced swingers, seek similar couples or exceptional muscular well-[endowed], single men,” an ad in Swing Fever magazine read.
Stone initially denied the claims but in a 2008 interview with The New Yorker, admitted that he and Betran had posted the ads.
“When that whole thing hit the fan in 1996, the reason I gave a blanket denial was that my grandparents were still alive. I’m not guilty of hypocrisy,” he said.
They are the godparents of ‘Manhattan Madam’ Kristin Davis’ son

Stone and Betran are the godparents of former madam Kristin Davis’ son, Curtis. The political strategist and Davis have been friends for years and her child is even named after his godfather as his middle name is Stone.
In 2008, Davis was arrested and served time in prison after she pleaded guilty to one count of prostitution. She went on to run for the governor of the state of New York in 2010 with Stone as her campaign manager.
“He proposed I run for governor of New York. While I laughed at the idea because I’m actually mortified of speaking in public, he eventually talked me into it by convincing me I could advocate for some social issues I believe in: marriage equality, decriminalization of prostitution and marijuana,” Davis wrote in a blog post.
The same day Stone’s home in Fort Lauderdale was raided so was his duplex in New York City where Davis had been residing.
