Season 2 of A Million Little Things explored grief, conflict, redemption, forgiveness, fear, hope, and love. Now the season is coming to an end, but not without a few emotional fireworks. Will the finale raise the stakes, heighten the drama, or tug at the heartstrings? Here’s hoping it will do all of the above, and then some.

The title of the episode, ‘Til Death Do Us Part’, is a clue that the finale will focus on Eddie and Katherine renewing their vows. But based on the episode preview, there is much more in store for the core group than wedding cake. Here’s a breakdown of the teaser, plus a recap of where things stand going into A Million Little Things Season 2 finale.

20-year-old mystery: Eddie digs up the past

“I had something to do with this, didn’t I?” Eddie asks his sister in the promo.

The last several episodes of A Million Little Things have teased an Eddie-centric mystery. The songwriter’s sister, Lindsay, rolled into town to attend Eddie and Katherine’s vow renewal ceremony. With her, she brought a heap of family baggage and a reminder of the past.

Lindsay claims that her bro was the last person to see a young lady named Alex before her death by drowning, but Eddie has no recollection of the events that occurred. Ed’s spotty memories could be due to involuntary repression of the ordeal, or the alcohol and drugs ingested during their last night with Alex.

In any case, Eddie is adamant about finding answers. In the previous episode, he and Lindsay traveled to the lake house where the incident occurred years earlier, only to run into Alex’s dad. The grieving father didn’t offer any hints as to what happened but made it clear that he holds Eddie responsible.

In the finale preview, Eddie presses his sister for answers about what happened. Will he uncover the truth, and if he does, will it shatter his reality?

“Gary, I don’t want my life without you,” Maggie pleads, “I had to tell you that I love you.”

In the finale, Maggie will open up to Gary about her true feelings for him, but is it too late for the twosome? In the prior episode, Gary and Darcy solidified their connection and bonded over past trauma. They both showed their vulnerability when Gary confessed that Maggie broke his heart, and Darcy shared her struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Will Mags blow off Oxford for a chance at love? Who will Gary choose to move forward with, his ex-lover, or his new flame?

Baby watch 2020: Eve goes into labor

“Eve is in labor. We’re having a baby,” Rome beams to Regina in the episode tease.

The décor in the promo tips off viewers that the group is prepping for Katherine and Eddie’s vow renewal ceremony. The entire squad seems to be present, including Gary’s new ladylove and Katherine’s mom-friend, Darcy. Although the focus seems to be on the Howards’ baby, things could get awkward between Maggie and Darcy.

At any rate, with Eve in labor, the Howards have no time for the Maggie-Gary-Darcy love triangle drama, and they skedaddle to the hospital to be with Eve for the birth of their baby. Unfortunately, a medical emergency turns their dream day into a nightmare.

Will Eve and the baby survive? And if so, will Rome and Regina get their happily ever after with a new baby? Will the finale reveal their fate, or will it leave the audience with a cliffhanger to be resolved in Season 3?

Fans will get some answers in due time. The A Million Little Things Season 2 finale is scheduled to air on Thursday, March 26, at 10 p.m.
