Amy Slaton’s biggest goal in getting healthy on 1000-lb Sisters was to get pregnant. Despite doctors advising her to wait to get pregnant, she and her husband, Mike Halterman, went ahead with trying. Now, that baby Gage is here, he has pretty much taken over the TLC star’s Instagram. Normally, fans love the pictures of Gage, but the onesie he was wearing in a recent Instagram photo has fans confused.

‘1000-lb Sisters’ fans are confused by Gage’s onesie

Amy recently posted a photo of Gage to Instagram to celebrate his almost birthday.

“Happy 11mo baby boy,” she wrote.

At first, fans congratulated Gage on being 11 months as well. But then, some people started to comment on the baby’s onesie which read, “Mom thought it was Chinese, Sike!”

Some fans were confused by the saying on the shirt.

“What does this shirt mean?,” one fan asked.

“I don’t get it lol,” another person wrote.

Eventually, some fans started answering others’ questions.

“In an earlier episode, she had eaten a lot of Chinese food and had considerable belly pain,” one fan wrote. “She went to the doctor and they told her she was pregnant… and to stop eating so much Chinese food.”

“In one of the episodes she went to hospital in lots of pain, turns out she ate too much Chinese food and I assume its meaning she thought that she ate too much again but really it was contractions and having the baby,” another fan explained.

Amy’s weight loss journey

Amy started her weight loss journey at around 400 pounds. When she first found out that she weighed that much she was shocked as she had always referred to herself as “the skinny sister.” The doctor advised Amy to lose over 20 pounds in order to qualify for surgery. Amy took her weight loss plan seriously as her ultimate goal was to get pregnant. She changed her diet and began working with a personal trainer.

After having surgery, Amy was able to get pregnant with Gage. By the end of season 2, she was down to 270 pounds.

Amy’s struggles in ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3

Though Amy was excited to get pregnant, being a new mom and trying to lose weight is going to be hard for her in season 3.

“Amy is dealing with her own stress, and while her dreams came true when she became a mom to son Gage, balancing the demands of motherhood with her own weight-loss goals may prove to be impossible,” the 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 synopsis reads.

She also appears to be talking to a new love interest, which is cause for concern for her family, as relationships have hindered Tammy’s progress in the past,” the season’s synopsis reads.
