Tammy Slaton has been difficult to deal with since season 1 of 1000-lb Sisters. In the first season of the TLC show, fans may have found Tammy’s stubbornness amusing. But after three seasons of watching her not make much progress and lash out at her family members, fans have had enough.

Fans are thinking of ditching ‘1000-lb Sisters’

This season of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy checked herself out of rehab just as she was starting to make progress. Since she has been home from rehab, she’s gained weight and has been insistent on not working out. Her attitude this season has some fans ready to give up on the show.

“Tammy is making the show unbearable to watch,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “I loved the back and forth bullsh*****g but now watching, I get in such a negative mood. Also – I can’t imagine how their houses smell after watching the cleaners.”

“I feel like I’m watching a train wreck and I can’t look away,” another person said. “Tammy just makes me furious at her in every scene she’s in. I am also conflicted. Am I contributing to her downward spiral? She really thinks she’s a celebrity and ‘inspires’ people. Everything about her icks me out. I wish I could say I believe this will end in anything but Tammy’s demise.”

“I totally get it, it’s getting harder to watch,” another person said. “I did enjoy Tammy and Amy having some good old sister fun this week, they do have a funny dynamic. But mostly, it’s just becoming desperately, desperately sad. I have no sympathy for Tammy but I do have empathy…I’ve had emotional eating/binge eating issues so I know how easy it is to overeat. When I put myself mentally into what it must have been like growing up and what her life is like now, I can totally see myself eating myself into obesity as well. But the empathy is almost gone…because I feel confident that if I were in Tammy’s situation now (ie. Every possible thing being offered to me on a platter, TLC paying for my surgery and my resources) that I would be losing the weight.”

Tammy’s family is tired too

Viewers aren’t the only ones who have grown tired of Tammy. In a previous season, Amy Slaton revealed that Tammy burned bridges with most of the rest of their family members. In the Dec. 13 episode, Michael Halterman, Amy’s husband, finally had enough of always having to push Tammy around in her wheelchair. Even Tisa, Tammy’s new home nurse, got fed up with Tammy and went off on her in the episode.

Tammy is facing trouble on ‘1000-lb Sisters’

Tammy wasn’t able to get bariatric surgery when her sister Amy did. At the end of last season, she found out that she had gained a significant amount of weight. This season, Tammy has continued that trend. If Tammy doesn’t get serious about her health, the doctor told her that she faces losing even more mobility, which would make it even harder to lose weight.

1000-lb Sisters airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.
