3 ‘Frasier’ Filming Locations To Visit in Seattle
Frasier isn’t like programs set and filmed in New York. The award-winning TV show was shot in Los Angeles, not Seattle, Washington, where it’s set. However, there’s one notable exception. To mark the comedy’s 100th episode, Frasier shot on location in Seattle.
Frasier celebrates his 1000th show in 100th episode of ‘Frasier’
Hitting the 100 episode mark is a major accomplishment for a TV show. To celebrate, the show’s writers had Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) mark the 1000th episode of his radio show, The Dr. Frasier Crane Show, with a party at Seattle’s Space Needle.
He and his brother, Dr. Niles Crane (David Hyde Pierce), hit roadblocks on the way there that could make them late to the festivities. Check out some of the Seattle featured in Frasier Season 5 Episode 5: “The 1000th Show” that aired on Nov. 11, 1997.
‘Frasier’ viewers see the Space Needle first
What is a trip to Seattle without a visit to the Space Needle? It’s one of the city’s most famous landmarks and it has a big role in Frasier’s 100th episode.
The Space Needle is the location of Frasier’s party and a constant presence on the show even when the cast and crew are not actually filming in Seattle.
According to Curbed Seattle, it’s the first of the city’s locations on Frasier’s 100th episode.
Frasier and Niles visit Pike Place Fish Market where disaster ensues
Another iconic destination is Seattle’s Pike Place Fish Market. Frasier included a hilarious scene — although not for Frasier’s shoes — involving the landmark’s famed fishmongers who throw fish in the show’s 100th episode.
Walking by the popular Seattle spot Niles is hit with flying seafood. As a result, he spills his drink on Frasier’s suede shoes. Unable to attend a celebration in his honor with ruined footwear, Frasier has to get a new pair of shoes.

Girl Scouts catch Niles and Frasier stealing in Regrade Park
One bad thing after another happens to Niles and Frasier as they run around Seattle. After buying new shoes for Frasier, the brothers avoid fans by going through an alley. Walking down said alley, they cross paths with a robber.
Frasier and Niles then go to a payphone near Regrade Park. Without any money to place a call, they try stealing money from a blind man who is playing the saxophone for cash.
Girl Scouts, who happen to be in the park near some play equipment, see them in the act and call them out on it.
