Cooking during the holidays doesn’t have to be complicated and Ree Drummond’s one-pan dishes prove it. They’re crowd-pleasing meals from the celebrity chef everyone in the family with love whether it’s the holidays or not. Best of all, the kitchen sink won’t be full of dirty dishes.

Need a dish that’s special enough for Christmas dinner but simple to make? This is it. Drummond’s one-pan dish brings combines the main course and side dish by putting short ribs and carrots together.

Featured on Food Network’s “One Pan Crowd Pleasers” episode of The Pioneer Woman, Drummond’s Braised Short Ribs and Carrots are definitely not one of her 16-minute meals. They take nearly four hours to make. But that doesn’t mean it’s a complicated recipe.

Food Network categorizes it as “easy.” The recipe requires 15 minutes of activity meaning the rest of the time is spent waiting for the ribs and carrots to cook.

Ree Drummond’s Sloppy Joe Mac and Cheese is ready in 25 minutes

This particular one-pan dish from Drummond combines two popular Pioneer Woman recipes, mac and cheese and sloppy Joe. Not only is it made in a single pan — Drummond prefers a large skillet — but it’s also done in 25 minutes.

Drummond’s Sloppy Joe Mac and Cheese starts with the beef. She cooks it before eventually adding the sloppy joe ingredients. Lastly, she adds pasta for the mac and cheese element. Once the pasta’s cooked she sprinkles it with lots of shredded cheese. Finally, the Sloppy Joe Mac and Cheese is ready to eat.

The Pioneer Woman’s Sheet Pan Lasagna is an easy take on the classic Italian dish

This is yet another way the Food Network star serves lasagna. She has multiple variations, including “cowboy friendly” lasagna and her popular lasagna soup

As the name suggests this type of Pioneer Woman lasagna is made on a sheet pan as opposed to, say, the more traditional baking dish. The hero ingredient that makes the recipe work is no-boil lasagna noodles. By using those it can still be classified as a Drummond one-pan dish.

Worried the Sheet Pan Lasagna won’t have those signature layers? The cookbook author makes it work. She manages to create layers of cheese, noodles, crumbled beef, and marinara sauce using a shallow sheet pan.

To make the cooking process easier Drummond stacks the ingredient list with various storebought items including jarred marinara, pesto, meatballs, pre-cooked sausage, and more.

Of all of Drummond’s 1-pan dishes on this list, Easy Tex-Mex Chicken and Rice is the quickest to make at home. Why? Because, once again, the cooking show host utilizes storebought ingredients.

She combines spices, diced onion, and olive oil in a skillet. Later she tosses in shredded rotisserie chicken and microwavable rice. Finally, the Food Network star sprinkles cheese over the top, and once it’s melted Drummond’s one-pan dish is ready to serve.
