7 Little Johnstons follows the Johnston family as they navigate the world with a rare condition. The Johnston parents, Amber and Trent, have two biological children, Jonah and Elizabeth. Amber experienced a rough pregnancy with Elizabeth, as her hips routinely dislocated as she got wider than she was tall. The mother of five is 48 inches tall but became 51 inches round during her pregnancy with Elizabeth, thus making for a painful experience.

After Elizabeth was born, Amber and Trent decided to take the adoption route, preferring to take in children with the same condition as them. They both knew that kids with dwarfism are usually put up for adoption, so the Johnstons decided to adopt from all over the world.

Amber and Trent adopted three children, Anna, Emma, and Alex. The children were adopted at the ages of 4 and 5 years, and 6 months from Russia, China, and South Korea. However, with every adoption, the Johnstons had to face the issue of expenses, as adoptions cost upward of $20,000.

Despite the costs involved, the Johnston family is independent and self-sufficient and prefers to live as any typical family. Even though they qualify for government assistance, the family refuses to take out loans for their expenses, as the parents believe in raising strong children who can deal with the challenges in the real world.

Did Trent and Amber adopt again on ‘7 Little Johnstons’?

TLC recently dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming season of 7 Little Johnstons. In the trailer, the Johnston family hints at a possible expansion. As Hollywood Life reports, the Johnston patriarch, Trent, asks the younger kids, Alex and Emma, their thoughts on adding another child into the fold.

The question takes the younger Johnstons aback, with Alex gasping at the possibility of the Johnston parents adopting another child. During the trailer’s final moments, viewers see Amber and Trent FaceTiming a young man, leaving plenty of room to speculate whether or not the family is considering getting a sixth child.

The new season sees some major changes in the Johnston household, such as Jonah, Emma, and Elizabeth moving out. This leaves Emma and Alex alone, which might have necessitated the need for the parents to give them some company.

So did Trent and Amber adopt again? According to TV Season Spoilers, Emma Johnston debunked the adoption speculation in a recent Q&A session on her Instagram live. When a fan asked the star whether the family plans on adding another child into the fold, she replied with an aggressive “Nooo.” The Instagram story has left fans confused, as the trailer tells a different story.
