On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast are still in Moldova for their second wedding, and things have been eventful from the beginning on the trip. Elizabeth’s father, Chuck, and her brother, Charlie, want answers about Andrei’s past. In particular, they want to know why Andrei left Moldova and his job as a police officer for Ireland.

When Charlie arranges a meeting with Andrei’s best friend, Marcel, they learn some new details about why Andrei left Moldova. In last week’s episode, Andrei is confronted by Elizabeth’s family about what they learned.

After speaking with Marcel, Chuck, Charlie, and Elizabeth’s sister, Jenn, confront Andrei about the new details they pulled out of Marcel. Jenn reveals to Andrei that they met up with Marcel. Chuck says that what he heard from Marcel “worried” him.

“Basically you were forced out of your country,” Charlie says to Andrei.

When asked if he was forced off the police force, Andrei says, “Yes, I was forced. Yes. I left.”

Tensions are running high, and Andrei says, “The corruption here makes people do a lot of stuff, OK? So, when you’re in the police, you have to close eyes sometimes and you have to go along, OK? You’re working for somebody, and he is higher rank. You have to execute the orders, and if you say no, they’re going to try and set you up. So I got set up with some stuff.” Andrei explains that he said “No,” and left.

Andrei is then asked if someone tried to “frame” him, and he says, “Exactly.”

“At some point you have to make a decision to play the game and break the law or get out, and I choose to get out,” Andrei tells the cameras.

Elizabeth seems confused, considering she didn’t know all these details. She says it wasn’t explained to her this way, and she thought he went to Ireland “to make more money.”

Elizabeth and Andrei finally get a chance to be alone and talk about what was just revealed about Andrei’s past. “I need you to be 100% honest with me,” Elizabeth says to her husband. “And tell me what my family is talking about.”

“The past is the past,” Andrei says. Elizabeth tells him she won’t marry him for a second time without knowing the truth of the matter.

Andrei finally tells Elizabeth the details. “Working as an investigator has a lot of responsibilities,” Andrei explains. “They ask higher rank people that are working in the same department to not do actions, so we get these people in jail. They asked me to do some stuff. I didn’t do it. I refused to do it. I left. I had to leave the country because if I didn’t leave, they will set me up. And I would lose now, everything. Not only my job, I would lose my f****** life.”

Andrei admits he didn’t tell Elizabeth the whole truth, and he says he’s sorry for not telling her. He didn’t want to lose his wife.

Now that Elizabeth knows the truth of the situation, how will it change things between them? We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.
