90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5 brings fans a fresh crop of couples to TLC, with only one returning cast member – Usman “Sojaboy” Umar. Fans are incredibly interested in watching the new couples navigate the complicated issues involved with international dating, but one character, in particular, seems to be garnering the most attention. So far, Jasmine is the standout star of the season, and a lot of it has to do with her outrageous requirements for her fiancé, Gino.

Who are ‘Before the 90 Days’ Season 5 stars Jasmine and Gino?

Like most couples on Before the 90 Days Season 5, Jasmine and Gino met through an international dating app. After Gino divorced his wife of seven years, he felt like it was time to try his luck with dating. He and Jasmine hit it off and began video-chatting. When we meet them in the Before the 90 Days Season 5 premiere episode, we learn that they’ve dated for nine months.

Fans of Before the 90 Days Season 5 get to know more about Gino in the first episode, and he admits to the cameras that Jasmine is “out of his league.” However, that seems to only add to his excitement about their relationship. Gino works as an engineer in Canton, Michigan, and Jasmine works as an American Literature teacher in Panama City, Panama.

When they aren’t together, Jasmine demands Gino check in with her so she can know where he is at all times. This includes checking in when he leaves his house, when he arrives at his destination, and when he gets back home. In the premiere episode, Gino grabs some takeout from a local restaurant. When he walks in to get his food, Jasmine asks Gino to hand the phone to the bartender so she can see her via FaceTime. When Gino asks the bartender’s name as he’s leaving, Jasmine becomes angry and gets off the phone.

Fans believe these are some major red flags. However, it looks like they aren’t alone. Jasmine’s friend thinks her requirements are a bit out there as well.

Jasmine’s friend calls her out on her outrageous behavior

Before Gino arrives in Panama in Before the 90 Days Season 5, Jasmine sets up their hotel suite to have more of a romantic atmosphere. She invites her friend over to help decorate, and eventually, their conversation turns to Gino.

Jasmine confesses to Grisel, her friend, that Gino initially lied to her about his age and claimed he was younger. Grisel asks Jasmine why she’s so confident he isn’t lying about something else. Jasmine’s response shocks Grisel.

“Because I know. I’m always calling him. When he goes outside he has to send me evidence and all that stuff. He has to call me when he’s at the place, when he’s in the car, and when he’s back home,” Jasmine says.

Grisel points out that it doesn’t seem like Jasmine trusts him, but she swears she does and replies, “I trust him because he does that.”

Grisel still seems surprised when Jasmine continues, “I have told him you cannot be nice to women especially if I’m around. I have to be the center.”

“Hey, that’s kind of psycho….”Grisel replies.”
