Brittany Banks and Yazan are obviously very different people. From the moment they both appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, it was clear that they were not aligned on pretty much anything. After seeing them on the show, fans wondered why Banks, someone who was not modest at all, would agree to move to a conservative place like Jordan. Now, Banks is alleging that Yazan painted a different picture of what their life would be like in Jordan.

Brittany Banks and Yazan’s relationship

Banks and Yazan happened to meet when their sisters lived in the same apartment building. Yazan was videochatting his sister when Banks walked in the room. Despite their obvious differences, the two decided to start a relationship.

Things went bad almost immediately when Banks landed in Jordan. Yazan got angry with her as soon as she landed because she hugged members of the production crew and brought alcohol with her. This caused the first of many arguments that Banks and Yazan had.

Brittany Banks hasn’t been able to fit in

The entire season, Banks has struggled to get Yazan’s family’s approval. When she went to meet with them, they all began yelling at her to change.

“Cancel all of this, cancel all the life you’ve been living, and you would marry Yazan and we’ll take good care of you,” Yazan’s father said.

“We respected you, and where is our respect?” Yazan’s mother added. “Yazan, tell her that the woman, this is how it is here. When a woman wants to get married, this is going to be her family. She has to forget her other family.”

Brittany says Yazan tricked her

There is nothing modest about Banks. All it takes is one look at her Instagram profile to see that she does what she wants and wears what she wants.

Recently, when she posted a video of herself, fans began to comment and ask why she moved to Jordan when she knew it was a conservative place.

“I feel like [there are] so many context clues in the show that shows that,” Banks answered. “A woman like me isn’t gonna up and move to a country like that unless the person I’m dating can accept me as I am and the environment permits.

“Do y’all miss the parts on TV where he tells me one thing and tells his parents another, then gives me a random ultimatum pressuring me because of the lies he told his parents?” she continued. “I’m tired of being attacked when he knew exactly who I was when he pursued me and still does. Jordan culture does not prohibit this. His particular family does not like it, but I don’t live to please them.”

Though she feels like Yazan may have misrepresented himself, Banks doesn’t exactly hold it against him.

“I don’t blame him and that’s why I really try to be patient and respectful as I can to his culture without letting it become me because that’s not who I am or who my family raised me to be,” she wrote. “He fell in love with me as me so it even scares me to change to what he’s always around because if he liked the kind of girls he was always around, he would have got one of them and not me.”
