Brittany Banks and her ex, Yazan Abu Huraira may not have gotten a season-end reunion special. But the reality stars finally got a chance to air their grievances on the new 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, Bares All. While Yazan tried to attack her social media presence, Brittany slammed him, claiming he lied about his family’s opinion of her when they first met.

Yazan’s parents demanded Brittany change on ’90 Day Fiancé’

The 2020 season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way followed Florida-based Brittany’s relationship with her Jordanian boyfriend, Yazan. The two met online, started talking, and eventually met up in person when Brittany visited Yazan in Jordan.

Eventually, Yazan began criticizing Brittany for her revealing photos on social media. He said that they offended his conservative Muslim parents, and when she went to Jordan, his father asked her to take them down.

“We don’t accept my son to even be in an amorous relationship or even a romantic one with [you]…I mean, with all due respect, you’re still on social media, and you still are as you are,” Yazan’s dad demanded.  “Cancel all of this. Cancel all the life you’ve been living, and you would marry Yazan.”

Brittany said Yazan acted like a feminist when they started dating

When talking to one of her friends on the show, Brittany suggested that Yazan painted a very different picture when they first met. She said he portrayed himself as a feminist, and didn’t seem to mind her lifestyle choices.

“I fell in love with Yazan because I felt like he was so different,” Brittany told 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way producers. “He portrayed himself to be like a feminist, so I feel like that’s what I fell in love with. But that’s not what he’s given me.”

Eventually, Brittany said she realized Yazan would change his tone to fit his narrative. He would support her when needed, and side with his parents when they pressured him.

“Yazan is constantly flip-flopping on his expectations of me,” Brittany said. “I never know what I’m going to get with him. He’s like hot and cold, and it’s super confusing.”

Brittany and Yazan face off on ’90 Day Bare All’

On the new Discovery+ streaming series, 90 Day Bares All, host Shaun Robinson caught up with Brittany, Yazan, and his translator, Adam, via video chat. Yazan tried to slam Brittany for her social media posts and accused her of dating much older men.

But Brittany snapped back, and told him he knew exactly what she was like when they got together. She said he told her that his family liked her social media pictures. And when he denied it, she pulled out his old text messages to prove it.

“Why were you writing me when we first met, telling me your parents love my music videos?” Brittany asked him. “The first week we met, ‘Oh, they love your Instagram pictures, my family said you’re so beautiful.’”

Yazan continued criticizing Brittany. But she maintained that she was standing up for herself and most women who are shamed for doing the same thing men do. The two obviously still have unresolved issues to work out, so there’s a chance they may reappear on another episode of Bares All.
