’90 Day Fiancé’: Erika Owens Finally Speaks on Whether She Thinks Stephanie Matto Is Actually Bisexual

Erika Owens and Stephanie Matto didn’t exactly have the most peaceful relationship on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days The two constantly argued and Matto was always flying off of the handle about something. Eventually, the arguing got so bad that the two just broke up.

Throughout the season, fans doubted if Matto was actually into women because she never seemed to want to be physical with Owens. Now, Owens is addressing what she thinks of the rumors and what happened in their relationship.

Does Erika think Stephanie is bisexual?

When Matto came to visit Owens, the Australian was expecting a completely different version of Matto than the one she got. Online, Matto was provocative and sexual. In real life, she told Owens that she was more conservative and barely wanted to hold hands. Regardless of this drastic change, Owens says she can’t speak to Matto’s sexual orientation.

“Honestly, I can only speak for my experience and who I am,” Owens told Entertainment Tonight. “Sexuality is a very personal thing, and sometimes it takes, like, exploring yourself to be able to figure that out, you know? It sucks that at some points, it felt like the figuring out of things was at my expense, but I’m not gonna sit here and say that she is something or she isn’t, because that’s her own personal journey.”

Despite her problems with Matto, Owens didn’t think it was fair for people to judge her on her sexuality.

“I don’t think it’s fair for them to say that in the first place to a stranger and secondly, you know, to even make a judgment in the first place,” Owens continued. “Of course, like, people can have their doubts or whatever, but like I’ve mentioned before, this is Steph’s journey and its no one’s place to, like, publicly go for her.”

What does Erika think went wrong in the relationship?

Owens and Matto actually didn’t know each other all that well before Matto’s trip to Australia, which could have contributed to the split.

“If I had known that a lot of the aspects of my lifestyle were dealbreakers for Stephanie, I would have said, ‘Don’t worry about coming,'” Owens said. “This is who I am, and I’m not going to change that. Like, this is how I live my life. … I travel a lot and I do a lot of things I guess regular people wouldn’t do …. but Steph wasn’t OK with a lot of parts of my life. And I probably would have just gone, ‘Well OK, that’s fine. I wish you would’ve told me that before you came here because I wouldn’t have entered into it, you know?'”

Ultimately, the good times between the two didn’t outweigh the bad.

“You know, she is fun or whatever, but at the same time, I was very taken aback by her problems with some of the dates or, you know, with my friends. … When the good times were good, they were fun, but we just didn’t have very many of them,” she said.

Is Erika dating someone new?

On the tell-all special, both Owens and Matto seemed to be completely done with one another. But that doesn’t mean that Owens has jumped into a new relationship. She told the outlet that she has been single since her split from Matto.
