’90 Day Fiancé’: Evelin Villegas Caught Cheating On Corey Rathgeber, Fans React
Things looked rough for 90 Day Fiancé stars Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber from the get-go. Fans will remember Villegas leaving Rathgeber high and dry when he arrived in Ecuador for the first time by refusing to meet him at the airport. To top that off, Villegas seemed very wishy-washy about her commitment to Rathgeber at the time, saying she was “hoping” things would work out.
Unfortunately, it seems as if she fell on the wrong side of the fence for Rathgeber. In a recent shock, Rathgeber discovered Villegas had been fooling around on the side. And while Rathgeber might be feeling hurt, it seems 90 Day Fiancé fans have his back.
A bad start in Ecuador
When Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas began their journey on 90 Day Fiancé, things seemed a little up in the air for Villegas. She didn’t seem as committed to the relationship as Rathgeber.
At the time, Rathgeber said, “It’s very scaring, especially if she’s seeming on the fence about things. It’s really not cool. I think a lot of people would break up with Evelin if put in my situation, but I love her.”
Meanwhile, Villegas had some high expectations. She told cameras, “I am expecting him to learn how to speak Spanish, and he also needs to connect with my family better. If Corey doesn’t prove himself in the next 90 days, then it’s not going to work out.”
Things got worse for Rathgeber when he arrived in Ecuador. When he landed, he soon realized Villegas hadn’t come to pick him up. When he called her, she told him, “You’re a big man, and you can come all the way here.”
It’s not particularly unreasonable for someone to expect their loved one to meet them at the airport, so many fans were shocked by her behavior. Villegas added, “In order for him to convince me to marry him, I want to see him doing things [on] his own when he is in Ecuador.”
Caught cheating
It seems like Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas’ rough start on 90 Day Fiancé was, unfortunately, a sign of things to come. SoapDirt received an exclusive leak from a TLC employee, informing them that Rathgeber was given hard proof by TLC that Evelin Villegas cheated on him.
SoapDirt reports that TLC had Rathgeber sign a mental health waiver before surprising him with a video of Villegas and her ex-boyfriend discussing a night of fun they had together while Rathgeber was away.
The source reports that Rathgeber spent much time with a backstage therapist to sort out his feelings after seeing the video. While it’s unclear what the future holds for the couple, Rathgeber has since blocked Villegas on Instagram.
Fans have Rathgeber’s back
During Corey Rathgeber’s birthday, many fans reached out to show support for the 90 Day Fiancé star. Alongside dealing with Villegas’ cheating, Rathgeber is still recovering from the death of his father in January.

Meanwhile, other 90 Day Fiancé fans ripped into Villegas on Instagram. One user wrote, “A hot body doesn’t last and it’s only skin deep! Overconfidence and being self-absorbed and using men will backfire on you.”
