Ash Naeck is receiving backlash from some members of the 90 Day Fiancé fandom following his relationship coaching seminar. Avery Warner attended Naeck’s seminar, during which he tried to coach single women on how to find “Mr. Right.” However, many of Naeck’s statements are outdated stereotypes regarding men and women. Now, after watching scenes from the seminar on the show, many fans are telling Naeck exactly what they think about his beliefs, and it’s not pretty.

Ash Naeck gives a seminar, attendees seem unimpressed

90 Day Fiancé star Ash Naeck claims he’s a relationship coach, but his seminar has left some fans wondering just how much coaching Naeck himself might need. Many of the claims Naeck made were very dated stereotypes about men and women.

He started out by saying, “Women don’t really understand the way men work, in their brains. If you think of the brain of a man, there’s boxes in his brain. And each box represents something. Now your brain is interlinked so when you’re thinking you’re thinking of many things at a time. Everything is really crazy in your brain. And for a man, it’s completely different.”

Naeck went on, “A woman, when it’s something small, it tends to get really big. And for men, our brain is working very different.” Naeck went on to claim that men have something called a “nothing box” that they want to stay in all the time, and that women want to come and decorate men’s nothing boxes, among other things.

Later, when an attendee questioned Naeck about his beliefs by saying that men and women have the same functional brains, Naeck responded, “The thing is you can balance them. But you will always be in the essence of the feminine. … The male is more towards — they’re very logical about their way of being.”

Naeck was unable to finish his train of thought after saying men are more logical than women. He eventually left the room while saying, “I f*cked up.”

Avery Warner dishes on Ash Naeck’s seminar

According to Avery Warner, her 90 Day Fiancé lover was not reading the room very well. During the episode, she explained that there was palpable tension when Ash Naeck started explaining his viewpoints.

Warner told cameras, “It’s only been a few minutes into the seminar and I can feel the room getting tense. It was turning into a subject of like, men are this, and women are this. Which to me, sounds sexist. And I have never gotten that vibe from him previous to this seminar.”

Avery Warner answered some questions about the seminar on her Instagram. 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates screencapped some of Warner’s answers during the Q&A.

One user asked Warner, “Were there really a lot of awkward silences during the seminar? Or was it all edited in?”

Warner replied, “The tension in the room was intense, I won’t lie. But I also feel Ash was out of his comfort zone and things didn’t go as planned.”

Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were a lot less diplomatic than Avery Warner when it comes to Ash Naeck’s seminar. Many seemed to feel as if it was outdated and sexist.

One Redditor pointed out, “Honestly the sexism is stupid, but the cringiest part is that he seems to have not prepared any talking points, he’s just wingin it out there. At least prepare and practice your sexist talk man… jeez.”

Another Redditor posted a picture of Ash Naeck writing on a piece of presentation paper, and captioned the image, “The woman’s brain is small like a peanut, and can only think about cleaning the house and making dinner for her husband when he gets home.”

“I can’t believe she didn’t dump him on the spot. I’ve never heard someone espouse such misogynistic views outside the internet before!” wrote another fan of the show.

“Not gonna lie, the ‘men went to be in our nothing box and women want to come decorate’ slayed me. Once you get past the sexism, he said some extra sexist things,” joked another user.
