David made plans to meet Lana multiple times. But each time there was another reason why she didn’t show up. “The first time, she did stand me up. Second time, her brother died. Third time, she had a medical issue. She had to go have surgery and it put her out of commission for three weeks,” he said on the show.

After she didn’t show up again, David tried to go to the address she previously gave him. An old man answered the door and said no one who is named Lana lives there, and that he’s lived at the home for many years.

David then hired a private investigator to find her. The investigator claimed she was scamming because he found out she had profiles on multiple dating websites. David became angry about this and fired him.

The episode, “The Pleasure Principle” finally showed David and Lana meeting. Her full name is Svetlana and she is 28 years old living in Kiev.

Lana admitted she gave him a fake address

The episode “Hard Habit To Break” showed David and Lana sitting down to talk. He revealed to her that he went to the address she gave him in hopes to find her. David then said the address was wrong.

“It is mad,” she told him. A producer asked her why she gave him the wrong address. “I gave David a fake address because I believe it’s not safe to give a real address to people that you’ve never met in real life,” she answered. “I never would have believed David would arrive in my hometown and actually knock on doors. That is genuinely insane.”

David then told her that he hired a private investigator to find her. He claimed it was because he had to find out if she was real. “I think that to me it is time to go home,” she told him.
