Mike Youngquist, a 34-year-old from the small town of Sequim, Washington, and Natalie Mordovsteva, a 35-year-old Ukrainian actor and model, had a rocky road to love on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé. Finally, they tied the knot in 2020 – only to separate less than a year later, according to Mike’s Uncle Beau Lawrence.

Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovsteva broke up several times before finally tying the knot

Natalie and Mike, who first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Season 7, had many near-misses when it came to their relationship. In addition to arguments over Mike’s religious beliefs – which involve ancient aliens – and past relationships, the couple wrestled with ongoing trust issues.

At one point, Natalie refused to tell Mike she loved him. And because of Natalie’s K-1 visa delays, he admitted he often had doubts about whether or not she was telling him the full truth.

Still, Mike and Natalie continued to come back to each other over and over, despite their arguments about just about everything from spirituality and weight to future kids. But after Natalie moved to Mike’s farm in the U.S. on 90 Day Fiancé Season 8 – and hastily insisted that Uncle Beau move out – Mike was reluctant to plan their wedding or return Natalie’s engagement ring.

Finally, the couple agreed on a date, but Mike called it off the day of the wedding and sent Natalie hightailing it back to Kyiv. Natalie fled in tears to the airport and prepared to go back to her home country, but the couple tentatively reconciled after a problem with Mike’s credit card. They married on April 15, 2020, in Clallam County, Washington (Meaww).

Natalie and Mike ended their relationship after less than a year of marriage

It looks like the problems between Mike and Natalie certainly didn’t end after they tied the knot. According to In Touch Weekly, the 90 Day Fiancé couple has been separated for several months, meaning their marriage ultimately lasted less than a year. Natalie reportedly now lives in Seattle.

Mike’s Uncle Beau, 51, told the outlet, “She has not been home for a couple of months now. She can stay away for all I care.”

And it seems Uncle Beau is very much over the drama between the tumultuous pair. He answered wholeheartedly, “I’m really hoping so, I pray to God, yes,” when asked whether he thought Mike and Natalie’s relationship was permanently over.

’90 Day Fiancé’ fans flocked to social media to support Natalie after the breakup

Natalie took to social media to hint about her heartbreak after her separation from Mike. And while 90 Day Fiancé fans have criticized her along the way, many seemed to shift their alliance to her after Mike left her at the altar.

“Another day will cover all my sadness,” Natalie wrote in a Mar. 24 Instagram post. “And wishing the same to everyone!”

Becky Lichtwerch, Elizabeth Potthast Castravet’s sister, comforted Natalie with kind words, writing: “My heart broke for you during your segments. For every tear you shed, God will multiply with happy tears. Stay yourself, hug your heart now, it’s because of your heart you’re such a beautiful woman.”

“I feel he was stringing you along the whole time and not being honest with you,” a 90 Day Fiancé fan commented. “You deserve so much better and you will get that.”

“I think Michael wanted to hurt you to make you hurt 100x more than he did when you gave the ring back to him,” another supporter wrote. “Passive aggressive behavior that is toxic and unhealthy. You will find someone who understands you and makes you feel proud, loved, wanted and beautiful.”

Whatever happens for Mike and Natalie in the future, it’s clear that – at least for now – Natalie has plenty of 90 Day Fiancé fans who have her back.
