TV viewers love a happy ending. However, there’s one reality couple who isn’t heading that direction. Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee, who appear on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, are having a difficult time with their relationship. But viewers believe there’s a lot more than distance keeping these two apart. Clegg’s attitude and victim mentality cause 90 Day Fiancé fans to question if she’ll ever find happiness.

Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee have a lot to fight about

On a recent episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, viewers witnessed a major fight between Clegg and Lee. The new parents were finally living together in South Korea, after Clegg decided to move from Utah. She brought along Drascilla, her daughter from a previous relationship, and the couple’s new baby boy, Taeyang, who was conceived the first night the couple met in person.

Unfortunately, Clegg felt that she’d been deceived about Lee’s financial situation before the move. He claimed to have plenty of money to care for their new family because he worked two jobs. He even told her that he’d saved $20,000 for a home.

But after she made the international move, Lee’s true financial status was revealed, and it was very different from what he’d originally reported.

Clegg felt that she’d been duped into moving to South Korea. “I built an amazing life [in Utah] and giving that up to move to Korea really sucks, especially if Jihoon doesn’t follow through on what he promised,” she said, according to InTouch Weekly.

During the episode, Clegg confronted Lee about money from his part-time job. She was upset, because instead of giving the money to her, Lee had it placed in his mother’s account. The issue became an argument that involved both of Lee’s parents

Eventually, the couple were able to work things out, with Clegg agreeing to give Lee another chance. But recent reports indicate the new family isn’t currently living together.

Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee are not currently in the same country

Clegg recently returned to the United States for a visit. However, travel restrictions placed after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forced her to stay, and since mid-July, Clegg and the children have been unable to return to South Korea.

The situation gives viewers plenty to speculate about. Why didn’t Lee travel with the rest of his family? Did Clegg only return for a visit, or was she leaving Lee for good? Are the travel restrictions the only thing keeping this couple apart?

Fans won’t know the answers to these questions until more information is released, but some think it really doesn’t matter. They’re sure the couple isn’t headed toward a happy ending, and they blame it on Clegg’s attitude.

After following the couple on The Other Way for some time, many fans are convinced that Clegg has lots of internal work to do. A recent Reddit discussion demonstrated just how fed up viewers have become with her attitude.

“… She really looks like one always sad and deflated…..like all sense of joy and happiness was sucked right out of her,” one person wrote.

Others think she’s stuck in a victim mentality.  “… Takes no responsibility for her s****y decisions,” one fan pointed out. “‘You ruined my life’ No, you ruined your own life with your own decisions.”

“She is one of those people that constantly says ‘I gave up everything for you’ when she didn’t have much to give up in the first place,” one person wrote.

Another user expanded on this idea. “And I swear people who say s*** like that, do things like this so they can have someone to blame if it goes bad, instead of thinking back and realizing you ignored red flag after red flag.”

It’s clear that fans believe Clegg isn’t taking responsibility, and that her attitude may be to blame for her problems. Hopefully, in the future, she’ll be able to look back on this experience and realize the part she played.
