‘90 Day Fiancé’ Fans Find True Identity of Sumit’s Astrologer Khalid — Is This Proof of More TLC Frauding?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans found out that Sumit Singh’s family astrologer isn’t named Khalid. After some digging, fans found the astrologer’s real name. Is this more proof that TLC is lying to fans and creating fake storylines? Here’s what we know.
Sumit’s family astrologer tells Sadhna to accept Jenny
On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Sumit’s mother, Sadhna Singh, is advised by her family astrologer, Khalid, that she must accept Jenny Slatten. During the Nov. 7 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Sumit’s family brought up the issues they have been facing, primarily Sadhna’s inability to accept Jenny as Sumit’s fiancée. Khalid advises Sumit’s parents to stop trying to teach Jenny how to fit into Indian society. He tells Sadhna, “You shouldn’t interfere in someone else’s house.” He advises her, “Eat, drink, have fun. Nothing else. And Jenny will learn.”
Fans find Sumit’s astrologer’s real name isn’t Khalid
On Reddit, a fan posted the actual name of Sumit’s astrologer. To 90 Day Fiancé fans’ surprise, his name isn’t Khalid, as on the show. The post reads, “Family Sumit’s astrologer. His name is Brajesh Gautam.” The post includes a photo of the astrologer, a screenshot taken from his YouTube channel, Brajesh Gautam. The astrologer has hundreds of videos of him under this name, educating people on chakras, energy, and how to open the 3rd eye.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans were looking for more information on Brajesh Gautam, but it led to dead ends. One fan noticed that Sumit’s father slipped up and said Khalid’s real name during one interview. The Reddit user wrote, “I’m a native Hindi speaker and caught something weird Sumit’s dad said in his interview. Sumit’s dad used a different name for the astrologer in his interview scene with Mommy Sumit. He said he agrees with what Brajeshji said… Before correcting himself and addressing him as ‘Astrologer.’ The astrologer’s name is Khalid.”

90 Day Fiancé fans remember Khalid, AKA Brajesh, earlier this season when he advised Jenny and Sumit on when they should get married. The astrologer suggested that the couple wait and not rush the marriage. This upset Jenny, as her visa was nearing expiration. During this first visit to meet Khalid, Sumit tells Jenny that he’s been advising his family for the last 30 years.
One fan commented on the Reddit post, “So, he’s been an astrologer for over 30 years? Maybe he’s older than he looks, but it seems like Sumit’s family relied on a 20-year-old for their entire future.” Could this be proof that Khalid or Brajesh is a paid actor helping TLC out with the storyline? Unfortunately, there’s no proof either way.
Many 90 Day Fiancé fans think that Khalid is Sumit’s family’s real astrologer, but he changed his name for the show to maintain a certain level of privacy. Whether or not TLC is lying, one thing is for sure — 90 Day Fiancé fans always find out the truth.
