Deavan Clegg—married to Jihoon Lee, 29, who hails from South Korea—is currently appearing on the second season of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. The 23-year-old model and influencer from Utah is also a mom of two kids: her daughter, Drascilla, from a previous relationship, and a one-year-old son, Taeyang, whom she shares with Jihoon.

Meanwhile, Deavan’s castmate, Tim Malcolm, first made a name for himself on the third season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, with his then-girlfriend, Jeniffer Tarazona, from Colombia.

Tim, a 40-year-old entrepreneur from North Carolina, broke things off with Jeniffer. But he later appeared on several seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk with his former fiancée, Veronica Rodriguez, with whom he coparents his stepdaughter Chloe.

Recently, Tim and Deavan made an unexpected connection on Instagram. Tim’s gushing compliment on Deavan’s selfie led some fans to believe he was hitting on her (an accusation he adamantly denied).

Tim complimented Deavan’s selfie on Instagram

Deavan, who often shares selfies and experiments with different kinds of photography and effects on Instagram, recently posted an especially stunning selfie. In the Instagram snapshot, the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star wore sparkling tinsel in her hair, with golden, burnt orange, and yellow hues playing around her face.

The mom of two captioned the photo, “Playing around with orange in light studio…really like it. Might have to buy some orange lights.”

Tim chimed in under the photo to compliment his fellow cast member. He wrote, “You look gorgeous. Wow I am impressed…did you take that photo yourself? I need the name of your photographer.”

Deavan explained that she was trying to improve her photography skills and hoped to make more of a career out of a combination of modeling and photography.

“I took this one,” she wrote to Tim. “I’ve been really thinking about getting into photography and starting an IG for it find some models and get that going as a hobby. I play around a lot in Lightroom and Photoshop with colors.”

Many ’90 Day Fiancé’ fans thought Tim might be trying to hit on Deavan

Many 90 Day Fiancé fans thought Tim might be interested in a little more than photography, especially because he was single and Deavan’s relationship with Jihoon seemed to be on the rocks.

“Was this code for: would you like to switch from Korean to Gringo?” one commenter wrote slyly, referring to Deavan’s husband from Korea and Tim’s company, Gringo Guns.

Another Instagram user wrote even more bluntly, “Eyyyyyy tryna see if you can slide into her DMs?”

Yet another viewer told Deavan, “He’s hitting on you lol.”

One 90 Day Fiancé fan joked, “Then I think it’d be best that he sticks to his Colombian 🍑 😅 Stay in your lane bud. Lol.”

The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star insisted he wasn’t trying to hit on the younger woman

While the general consensus among fans and commenters seemed to be that Tim was romantically interested in Deavan, he insisted that that wasn’t the case. In fact, he characterized their relationship as that of “co-workers.”

“We are co-workers and I know her 😂🤷🏻‍♂️,” he wrote to the fans accusing him of trying to get something going with Deavan. “It’s a genuine ‘not sliding into her DMs’ compliment.” (Deavan “liked” Tim’s comment, so it seems like she agreed.)

It’s very possible that Tim wasn’t trying to hit on his fellow cast member. After all, the 90 Day Fiancé star owns his own engraving and gold plating company and creates custom guns for clients that are more like art pieces than weapons. He’s artistic himself, so he might have just been striking up a conversation with another artistic type.

Tim has also been friendly with many of his other castmates, so he didn’t necessarily single Deavan out for attention.

Still, a few fans thought they might have been cute together. “That’s too bad, I’d ship it,” one commenter wrote.
