Reality TV is filled with drama and tension — after all, that’s what brings fans to the shows in the first place — but TLC might be regretting bringing on Geoffrey Paschel as a cast member for 90 Day Fiance. Paschel has been generating a lot more drama than expected, and much of it is upsetting fans so much that they want him off the show. As more and more about Paschel’s criminal history and violent allegations come to light, the extent of his past misdeeds continues to shock viewers.

Now, it looks like Paschel has managed to get himself banned from an entire country because of his actions.

Geoffrey Paschel was rejected on the show

Fans may have been primed to sympathize with Paschel. After all, he flew all the way to Russia to be with a woman he thought loved him, and the relationship turned sour in a hurry. When Paschel proposed to Varya Malina, she told him things were moving too quickly, and he interpreted her rejection as a breakup. “I feel like she’s messing with my heart,” Paschel said as he vowed to move on with his life.

When he returned to the states, he seemed to rebound quickly. He appeared to be in a new relationship with a woman named Mary, but then Malina showed up at his doorstep, throwing everything into upheaval. There was a clear drama that the show was focused on through the narrative. Paschel was caught in a love triangle, and fans were supposed to wonder who he would end up with and which woman was right for him.

Instead, most of the discussion around Paschel has revolved around his life offscreen.

Geoffrey Paschel has a criminal past

Paschel did not entirely hide his past from the women he was courting on the show. He was honest with Malina about some of his criminal past, explaining that he served time in prison when he was just a teen because of a drug conviction, as reported by Oxygen. Since this misdeed was so far in Paschel’s past, and he was upfront about it, it might not have been that big of a deal to the relationship.

However, Paschel was less forthcoming with some other legal struggles. Much more recently, Paschel was arrested on domestic violence charges. He faces accusations from multiple women who say that he abused them when they were in a relationship with Paschel. When fans caught wind of these accusations, they pressured TLC to remove Paschel from the show entirely. It appears that the protests were somewhat successful. Paschel was not included in the tell-all special for the series.

The impact of Geoffrey Paschel’s past is serious

While Paschel has tried to brush off the accusations against him as nothing more than a jealous ex trying to make his life miserable with lies, there have been some serious consequences over this picture of his past. The accusations against him include charges as serious as kidnapping, rape, child endangerment, and felony larceny. In fact, Paschel’s charges are so extensive that he has managed to get himself barred from entering the country of Canada!

The charges could also play a role in how Paschel’s love life pans out. If Paschel does end up attempting to bring Malina — or any other woman from outside the U.S. — to be his wife, he would need approval of a visa that would allow him to sponsor a spouse. The charges against him have the potential to derail those efforts, which means that even if Paschel manages to straighten out his love triangle and get his relationships in order, he may still find himself with a lot of drama to sort through.
