’90 Day Fiancé’: Is Stephanie Matto Married? ‘Before the 90 Days’ Alum Calls Nik Stone ‘Hubby’

‘90 Day Fiancé’ alum Stephanie Matto was part of the first same-sex relationship in franchise history. Now -- in an unexpected turn of events -- rumors are swirling that Stephanie recently got married. And her alleged new 'hubby' is YouTuber and reality TV critic Nik Stone, aka ‘Your Wet Sock.’

90 Day Fiancé alum Stephanie Matto was part of the first same-sex relationship in franchise history. She appeared alongside her then-girlfriend Erika Owens in season 4 of Before the 90 Days.

But the pair split during an episode that aired on TLC in May 2020, and the former couple has since gone their separate ways.

Now — in an unexpected turn of events — rumors are swirling that Stephanie recently got married. And her alleged new “hubby” is YouTuber and reality TV critic Nik Stone, aka Your Wet Sock.

Stephanie Matto was a YouTuber before starring on ’90 Day Fiancé’

Originally from a small town in the Czech Republic, Stephanie moved to New York City with her mom Magda when she was seven years old. She says that the initial language barrier made her feel like an outcast. So to stop “feeling so alone,” she started her own YouTube channel — Stepanka — and began uploading videos.

Her following slowly started to grow, which led to Stephanie becoming an influencer on Instagram. She also wrote a book titled Mean Boys & Memories: A Compilation of My Most HIdeous, Outrageous, and Embarrassing Moments.

Thanks to Stephanie’s social media presence, Australian photographer Erika Owens reached out to her on Instagram. The duo eventually started a long-distance relationship, but Stephanie wasn’t out as bisexual with her family. And their lack of chemistry when they did finally meet in person on 90 Day Fiancé had many fans wondering if Stephanie was being honest about her sexuality.

Who is Nik Stone?

Nik Stone — known as Your Wet Sock — started his YouTube channel in 2015. But in the past couple of years, he’s found success by focusing on content centered around the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.

Currently, he has around 250K subscribers. His most popular shtick is subscribing to NSFW pay platforms of TLC stars and rating their pics. He posts videos with titles like “I Bought Anfisa Navas Onlyfans So You Don’t Have To” and “Deaven Clegg From 90 Day Fiancé Threatened Me.”

According to Soap Dirt, Nik actually targeted Stephanie in one of his OnlyFan reviews. He accused her of pretending to be bisexual to get cast on 90 Day Fiancé and to get more views on her social media.

He did share his excitement that a fellow YouTuber had been cast on the series. But described Stephanie’s treatment of Erik as “manipulative,” and his take was that they had zero chemistry.

Why did the ’90 Day Fiancé’ star call Nik Stone ‘hubby’?

In a recent post to her Instagram Story, Stephanie surprised fans when she shared a pic of her and Nik and wrote, “Hubby posted some photos to his Unfiltrd. Couples that work together stay together.”

She later posted that same pic on her main page and wrote in the caption, “I never knew love until I met you.”

When people started commenting about Stephanie’s use of the word “hubby” and asking about the wedding, she replied that it was “truly the happiest moment of my life.”

Are the YouTubers really married?

Despite her use of the word “hubby,” Stephanie later clarified that she wasn’t married to Nik yet. But, she did say they are engaged and she’s showing off her ring. On his YouTube page, Nik wrote, “Oh btw Stephanie and I got a thang now… it seems like just yesterday I was making fun of her and now we make out big poggerz.”

Still, some are skeptical and believe this could just be a publicity stunt for Stephanie’s new platform Unfiltrd. She recently launched the new site after OnlyFans announced they were removing explicit content. The site eventually reversed that decision. But, Stephanie and some of her fellow TLC stars are sticking with their new platform because it offers perks that OnlyFans doesn’t.

The ’90 Day Fiancé’ alum is building her brand

The theory that the engagement is a marketing ploy to grow the Unfiltrd platform comes from the fact that Nik recently joined the site and is promoting his content. Stephanie told In Touch Weekly that when she created the platform, there were a lot of things she wanted to do differently.

“I wanted it to be very seamless, easy, user-friendly and also simple for creators to use as well,” she explained. “One feature that I thought would be really unique that OnlyFans doesn’t have is the ability to actually do phone calls through the platform with your fans. It is a lot more exclusive and a lot more of a tight-knit community than OnlyFans, because right now, we are accepting creators based on an approval process. So, we’re really vetting everybody.”

The 90 Day Fiancé franchise airs Sunday and Monday nights on TLC.
