On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa have had a lot of drama lately. After they take their children with them to Washington to visit Asuelu’s family, money gets brought up, and it causes some major problems. Asuelu’s family requested $1,000 from the little family, but they only have $100 to give.

Kalani speaks with Asuelu’s mother, Lesina, and his sister, Tammy, about the money issue, but their conversation just leads to more problems. When Kalani walks away, Tammy lunges in her direction. Luckily, Lesina held her back, but the whole thing got way out of hand.

All the drama leads to more problems between Kalani and Asuelu, and they are trying to work through things so they can stay together.

The tension is palpable for Kalani and Asuelu. Problems continue for them, and Kalani even admits to not wanting to be married anymore. On the trip back home from Washington, she reveals to the cameras the truth of the matter, and it’s clear they’ve reached a turning point.

After the couple got into an argument after all the fighting with Asuelu’s family, Asuelu leaves, but he eventually finds his way back to Kalani’s side again, and he doesn’t come empty-handed.

“When Asuelu came back yesterday, I let him in because when I opened the door, he was like on one knee with roses and balloons and saying that he was sorry and that he loved me,” Kalani says. “And then when I let him in, we restarted fighting again, so… I mean I’m grateful he showed up and he’s going to help me get home, but other than that, I need a f****** break. I’m tired and I’m emotionally exhausted, and I need to sleep. And I just need to go home and figure things out so… I don’t know. I just want to be done.”

When producers inquire as to what she means by being done, she says, “I don’t want to be married anymore.”

The couple discusses going to therapy

When Kalani and Asuelu return home to Uhah, they talk about going to therapy, and Kalani reveals it’s “the last option.”

“Therapy is the last option. I can’t keep living like this,” Kalani admits to her husband.

However, Asuelu has some concerns, since he’d prefer talking to someone who understands his culture and where he comes from, as well as the differences between it and the culture in the United States. They settle on a therapist, and they also get a translator to help assist them in the discussion.

After talking things out in therapy, it seemed like the couple is well on their way to making healthy steps and changes for the future. Kalani even agrees to try to make things better with Aseulu’s family, at least for her husband’s sake.

When the families get together, Lesina even apologizes to Kalani, who does the same. Tammy doesn’t apologize, and doesn’t think she said anything wrong. Despite that, things seem to be moving in the right direction, but in a preview for the new episode, it looks like problems continue for Kalani and Asuelu.

In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, Kalani admits to having a tracker on Asuelu’s phone, which doesn’t bode well for the relationship at all. Kalani tells her mom that Asuelu has been “going out and lying.” Just when it looked like things were going in a positive direction, there’s more drama.

“Asuelu’s just been going out and lying about where he is,” Kalani tells her mother, Lisa, as they sit on the bed for a discussion. “So, I had a tracker on his phone.”

In the next scene, Kalani is speaking to the cameras, and says, “I need to protect my kids. I can’t keep letting him do whatever the hell he wants.”

Next, we see Lisa, and she says she just wants her daughter to “be happy,” and that she isn’t. “I’ll support you obviously in anything you do,” Lisa says to Kalani.

It’s an emotional conversation, and they both appear to be getting teary during it. What is going to happen from here? Will Kalani confront Asuelu about where he’s been going? Hopefully, we’ll get answers soon enough.
