’90 Day Fiancè’: Mahogany Roca Reveals ‘Someone’ Requested She Not Go to the Airport to Meet Ben Rathbun
It looks like fans’ suspicions were correct about 90 Day Fiancé star Mahogany Roca. The Peru native recently made some curious comments on an Instagram post that brings her and Ben’s entire relationship into question. Here’s what we know.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ stars Mahogany and Ben’s relationship was strange from the start
Fans raised their eyebrows at the 90 Day Fiancè: Before the 90 Days couple from the start. When TLC introduced us to Ben, we watched as he explained to his friends he and Mahogany had yet to video chat, and all of the images she sent him were incredibly filtered. Ben’s friends believed Mahogany might be a catfish. However, he remained insistent that they were in love and that their relationship was real.
Ben traveled to Mahogany’s hometown of San Bartolo, Peru, despite her asking him not to come. From then on, Ben gave fans an uncomfortable vibe. After Mahogany ghosted Ben at the airport, he continued to text her. He explained he’d like for the two to meet at a restaurant. When Mahogany finally showed up, the 90 Day Fiancé star explained that her parents felt unsure of Ben’s intentions. However, he pressed her on the matter and asked to meet them. She agreed, but fans quickly noticed several pieces of furniture and decor that travelers often find in Airbnbs and vacation rentals.
Mahogany says she ‘never’ rented a home for ‘90 Day Fiancé’
The 22-year-old doubled down on her claim that the apartment fans saw during her appearance on 90 Day Fiancé was not a rental. In an Instagram post, Mahogany wrote, “Q&A [Redacted] had asked me why I had rented an airbnb at the show? The answer is never, I lived in front of the sea a few months before.”
However, fans on Reddit beg to differ. In March, a Redditor dug up an apartment complex that looked suspiciously like the building Mahogany brought Ben to see in 90 Day Fiancé. Although, the commenter admitted to never finding the listing for Mahogany’s supposed home in particular.
Mahogany revealed ‘someone’ asked her to not go to the airport
Another instance that made fans question the validity of 90 Day Fiancé stars Ben and Mahogany’s relationship revolved around Mahogany’s absence at the airport. Now, Mahogany is coming clean. She gave fans more clues that their relationship wasn’t as authentic as they made it seem during the show.
“The other question was why I did not go to the airport? It was never my idea not to go. It was a special request from one person and I received a call and he asking me not to go,” Mahogany wrote in her Instagram post.
However, Mahogany didn’t reveal the identity of the “one person” who requested she not go to the airport. It remains unclear if the person who asked her not to go worked for the 90 Day Fiancé or if it was a personal friend. Regardless, this latest admission from Mahogany continues to cause fans to question the couple’s relationship.
