’90 Day Fiancé’: Paola Mayfield Announced for NWA EmPowerrr Event
90 Day Fiancé star Paola Mayfield has been aggressively pursuing her new career in wrestling, and it looks like she’s firmly establishing herself, judging by an invitation to the NWA EmPowerrr event. This big break for Paola comes on the heels of her announcement that she and Russ Mayfield are taking some time apart from one another. It remains to be seen what will become of her relationship with her 90 Day Fiancé husband.
Paola Mayfield announced for NWA EmPowerrr
The NWA, or the National Wrestling Alliance, is a promotional group that books and organizes wrestlers for special events. The organization has a lengthy history in wrestling entertainment, and so it’s a big boon for 90 Day Fiancé star Paola Mayfield to receive an invitation to the EmPowerrr event.
EmPowerrr is a pay-per-view women’s professional wrestling event, which will be hosted exclusively on FITE TV. This is a huge opportunity for Mayfield, as it represents the NWA’s first event to include only women wrestlers. The special NWA event will also be featuring wrestlers from AEW, Impact Wrestling, and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

She won a championship event
It seems like Paola Mayfield’s wrestling star is ascendant — the 90 Day Fiancé cast member was also recently lauded as Atomic Wrestling’s Women’s Champion.
“In a shocking turn of events the NEW ARW Women’s Champion is PAOLA BLAZE! She won the Championship tonight at ARW’s ‘Star Spangled Slammer’ PPV live on,” Atomic Wrestling posted to Instagram in July.
On her wrestling Instagram account, @paolablaze, Paola posted photos of herself wearing and holding her championship belt, as well as some clips from the event.
Paola Mayfield previously told TV Insider that her first-ever wrestling event left her feeling proud and that she feels like it’s a natural fit for her.
“I’m proud. I got such good feedback back in the locker room. I didn’t think it was bad for the first time. I had to entertain more than 100 people in the place. I’m used to working in front of the camera and TV shows,” Paola Mayfield told TV Insider of her first wrestling event.
“Here you’re in front of so many people, you want to be able to do an awesome show and want people to be happy to come and see you. There is a high expectation because I’m not just this wrestler who started out. I’m Paola Mayfield from 90 Day Fiancé, so there are a lot of fans who want to go and see me. They make you want to do your best.”
Paola and Russ Mayfield are taking time apart
Meanwhile, Paola and Russ Mayfield’s 90 Day Fiancé relationship has entered a difficult period — the two are taking time apart to reassess.
“During this pandemic, it’s hit everyone very hard, especially couples who have had to stay indoors with each other 24/7,” Dominique Enchinton, Paola’s manager, told In Touch.
“Russ has lost his job during the pandemic, so Paola was the sole breadwinner for the past year. With all of that, it’s definitely taken a toll on both of them being in each other’s faces, so they are going to be taking a break for a little bit,” she added.
“They are still together. They are just taking a break and going to therapy to work through the issues,” she explained.
