90 Day Fiancé may be known for having couples that don’t make it, but it’s shocking to see the TLC show’s success rate for marriage vs. the national average in the United States. A 90 Day Fiancé producer reveals the truth about the success rate of the couples.

’90 Day Fiancé’ couples have a higher success rate than the national average

It may be shocking to find out, but it’s true, the TLC docu-series/reality TV show has a higher percentage of successful marriages on average than the United States does nationally. The CEO of Sharp Entertainment, Matt Sharp, revealed the success rate of 90 Day Fiancé couples in an interview with Deadline.

Sharp revealed, “Sadly, the divorce rate in the United States hovers around 50% — 50% of couples do not make it. We’re well above that.” He said, “Our couples are well above 75%,”

Why ’90 Day Fiancé’ marriage success rate is high

Sharp was joined by Sharp Entertainment’s senior director of casting, Brooklyn Bagwell, who chimed in on the subject. He said, “You know, honestly, I think the couples on 90 Day are more likely to stay together. They’ve already gone through so much. Why break up now? They’ve done so much to get to be together.”

Sharp explained, “There are a lot of people who sometimes watch the show and say, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s so hard.’ And, you know, ‘They’re going way out of the box here, and they’re not gonna understand each other.’”

He continued, “That’s one of the really amazing things about this show. This show is incredibly diverse. There are people that come from all different backgrounds who are finding these connections … who get in these incredible love journeys. And so, yes, I was very happy to see the great majority of our couples are staying together.”

The most successful ’90 Day Fiancé’ couples

90 Day Fiancé has grown from a simple TLC docu-series about the struggles of international love to become one of the largest reality TV shows of our time. There have been many international love stories that have won the hearts of millions of viewers.

Loren Goldstone and Alexei Brovarnik are one of those couples. They’ve even gone on to have their spinoff, Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days, where they highlight their lives as new parents to their two young boys.

Then there are couples whose fans can get enough of their drama. One of which is Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno. And against all odds, this couple has somehow managed to remain married. They even have their own spinoff, The Family Chantel, which just revealed its fourth season.

While many some 90 Day Fiancé audiences see the couples on the TLC show as “trainwrecks,” they’re still somehow more successful on average than the rest of the US.

Now the question is, will there be any successful 90 Day Fiancé couples to come from Season 9? Fans will have to keep watching to find out.

New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 air at 8 pm EST on TLC and discovery+.
