’90 Day Fiancé’: Production Reveals That Deavan Clegg’s Daughter Drascilla Was ‘Uncontrolled’ and Hard to Film
When filming a reality show, there are a lot of different personalities to deal with. Not only does the production crew have to manage the cast members of 90 Day Fiancé, but they also have to deal with the friends and family of the main cast members who are also on the show. This season of The Other Way, there have been a few children featured on the show, but one was more difficult than any other to film.
Drascilla ran away from filming ’90 Day Fiancé’
This season of The Other Way got heated when Deavan Clegg’s daughter Drascilla ran out into traffic. Because of the rushed nature of the scene, it was hard to tell exactly what happened. After the episode aired, Clegg shed some light on the situation and how she held Jihoon Lee at fault.
“At this point, he was probably 10 feet ahead of me, I have the baby, it would’ve been faster for him to get her,” she said on Instagram Live. “I’m like, ‘Please go run after her, go get her, she’s running!’ As he’s running, he stops midway as a car is approaching Drascilla and he turns around and he starts screaming at me.
“I’m not gonna say exactly what he said, because I can’t remember. Like I said, it was over a year ago. But he was cursing at me. At this point, my mom witnesses a car basically coming at Drascilla as he’s cursing at me. And that’s what happened. And then [Drascilla] stopped, she listened and came back.”
Other instances of Drascilla acting out
This isn’t the first time that Drascilla has been shown on 90 Day Fiancé having some behavioral issues. Throughout her time on two seasons of the show, Clegg has threatened to not allow Drascilla to be shown anymore. During the same live, she called TLC out for their edits.
“I’ve been upset with edits before,” she said. “I haven’t been vocal about it too much. But the edits are just getting so bad on my daughter that it’s disgusting and it’s disheartening.”
Recently, Clegg has accused Lee of pulling out a chunk of Drascilla’s hair. Lee insisted that he only lightly tugged the child’s hair to get her to stop hurting other girls at school. He also insisted that Clegg refused to discipline Drascilla.
“She wanted me to be a father to Drascilla,” Lee wrote in his Instagram stories. “I accepted, and when I tried to show Drascilla right from wrong, or even disciplining, both Deavan and Drascilla rejected the growing pains. Deavan did not accept any type of discipline or helping her child become an amazing young girl.”
What does production have to say?
Sources from the production team of the show recently spoke to Soap Dirt and revealed that filming with Clegg and Drascilla was not easy. According to the source, Clegg was “extremely hard to handle.”
Production apparently had to deal with “constant interruptions” when filming the scenes with Clegg and her children. The long hours caused by Clegg and Drascilla caused constant crew complaints. This was ultimately why the scene with Drascilla running into the street was not edited out. Production wanted to show what they had to put up with and the “uncontrolled” nature of Drascilla and Clegg.
