According to a new sneak peek video, Brandon works on his parents’ farm in Virginia. His parents took it upon themselves to sign him up for a dating app for farmers, but it didn’t lead anywhere.

“Yeah we did,” his mother, Betty, says as both she and his father, Ron, laugh and bump fists over it.

“We’re just trying to give him a push, you know?” Ron explains. “Just trying to help him out a little bit cause you know he spends so much time on the farm doing everything.”

Betty says, “It made sense to us.”

However, Brandon never used the app, since he met Julia, his fiancé. She’s from Russia, and they met in a very unconventional way. It turns out his best friend was at a club and saw Julia working as a go-go dancer. Brandon met her over video chat, and a relationship blossomed from there.

“They video-chatted me, and I fell in love immediately,” Brandon says. “She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. And my first message to her was, “You look like my future wife.”

The two have differences, since Julia is from the city and Brandon is used to working on his parents’ farm. However, they really hit it off together, and would eventually meet in person on two trips before becoming engaged.

Brandon popped the question on his second trip to meet her

The two spoke on the phone numerous times, and they finally met in person after talking for several weeks. Brandon asked Julia to be his girlfriend, and they proceeded to try and get Julia a visitor’s visa to come to the United States. But it didn’t work out, and it was denied as Julia let it slip that Brandon was her boyfriend. Brandon says she was told that she needed to apply for the K-1 visa instead.

“I couldn’t stand the thought of being without her, so after only five months and one meet up, I invited her to come to Iceland. And that’s where I proposed to her,” Brandon says.

The duo plans to live with Brandon’s parents so they can save money, and that they will get their own place eventually. But will Julia be able to adapt to a totally different lifestyle away from the city on a farm? We’ll have to see what their future holds. Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé will premiere on December 6 on TLC at 8 p.m. E.S.T.
