Kara isn’t willing to compromise her partying for Guillermo

In a bonus clip for the premiere episode of 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 (via Instagram), Kara is hanging out with her friends before Guillermo’s arrival.

Kara’s friend asks her about Guillermo wanting to go out with them to parties. She answered, “Going out wise, he’s super charismatic when he does go out, but there are times when he would rather stay in. So I think it’ll be a little give and take.” Check out the clip below:

Kara acknowledges that she’s going to have to compromise. She said, “Any relationship is a compromise, right? You don’t get into it, just being like, ‘I’m gonna do me.'” However, her friends called her out, saying that it is actually her motto.

Kara replied, “She said, I mean it is. But he knows that, and he’s still along for the ride, two years in, so it’s a little late for him to go like, ‘Oh wait, you’re going to do you?'”

Kara’s friend asks her what she will do if Guillermo asks her to slow down the partying lifestyle. She replied, “He can’t just show up in my life and be like, ‘I need you to be a whole new person.'” She said she doesn’t want to feel tied down by him and can’t go out with her friends.

Guillermo says Kara is controlling

Guillermo is finally in the United States with Kara, but it doesn’t take long for them to start fighting. In the preview for the upcoming May 8 episode of 90 Day Fiancé, Guillermo and Kara are fighting over finances. And Kara reveals her more controlling side to audiences.

Guillermo says, “I was thinking, [I] really wanna get my computer.” Kara replies, “Okay, well, that’s like a sixth of our entire budget.” She continues, “We don’t need it. You don’t need it.” He asks her, “So, you’re the boss?” Guillermo tells the cameras, “I just start hearing ‘You wanna control me?’ She’s not my mom.”

The power struggle between Guillermo and Kara has already started. Since Guillermo is on a K-1 visa, he won’t be able to work for a while, so he is entirely dependent on Kara for money until he gets his work visa. That, mixed with the fact that Kara is six years older than Guillermo, there’s guaranteed to be some tension.

Guillermo doesn’t trust Kara because of her past

In the trailer for 90 Day Fiancé Season 9, Guillermo talks to Kara about her past, which involves infidelity. In the clip, Guillermo tells her, “You have a past. of cheating on people.” Kara, clearly frustrated, asks her fiancé, “Do you even trust me?” Check out the season trailer below:
