90 Day Fiancé Season 9 introduced audiences to new couple Bilal and Shaeeda. Bilal lives a comfortable life in Kansas City, Missouri, while Shaeeda hails from Trinidad and Tobago. Shaeeda moved to the United States to live with Bilal. When she arrived he put her through a “test” to determine her true intentions. However, the prank may have backfired on him and put him in the doghouse with fans.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Season 9 star Shaeeda said she ‘feels deceived’ by Bilal
Instead of taking Shaeeda to his real home when she arrived in the States, Bilal took her to the house he grew up in as a child. It’s much smaller than his home now, and it looks relatively rundown.
Shaeeda confessed her concerns to 90 Day Fiancé producers, “When Bilal came to Trinidad, he seemed like a pretty much put together type of guy. You know, he had Louis Vuitton luggage. He dressed really nice, dapper. So I was expecting the home to kind of suit how he looks.” She continued, “But right now, I feel completely deceived. If I’m going to live here for 90 days, it’s going to be a struggle, but I’m willing to do it. I still love Bilal, but I am worried that he’s not being real. I think he is a little delusional.”
’90 Day Fiancé’ Season 9’s Bilal was offended by Shaeeda’s comments
Bilal believes that he’ll learn her true intentions by taking Shaeeda to a smaller, rundown home. When she questions the situation, Bilal takes offense to Shaeeda’s comments. Shaeeda points out that when he visited her in Trinidad, he always wore nice suits, belts, and watches. Those things don’t match the type of lifestyle he’s portraying to her right now.
Bilal tells the 90 Day Fiancé cameras, “It’s funny because she keeps saying, ‘You’re not who I thought you were.’ But it wasn’t like I portrayed anything differently. Just because a person can wear a nice suit doesn’t necessarily mean you live in the best house.”
Fans think Bilal is ‘shady and manipulative’
90 Day Fiancé Season 9 star Bilal’s prank on Shaeeda struck a nerve with fans. Many viewers seemed to roll their eyes at his obsession with secrecy and hiding what he owns.
One Redditor wrote, “I don’t think Shaeeda is wrong for having the expectations she does. I am currently in an LDR and if I came back after 2 years and got picked up in a work van and taken to a place with ceilings like that I’d be pretty pissed too. Bilal is shady and manipulative.”
Another user understood Shaeeda’s concern, “It’s so stupid because this prank proves nothing. If I gave up everything and left my country to go to a new place where I know nobody and can’t work, and it turns out you’ve lied to me about your income and ability to support me, I’m going to be pissed. That’s common sense, not gold-digging.”
We know that Shaeeda and Bilal have a rocky relationship during their time on 90 Day Fiancé. Teasers even suggest that Bilal forces Shaeeda out of his car and makes her get an Uber because of an altercation between the two.
