Kara and Guillermo argue about finances

Guillermo tells Kara that he needs a computer in the sneak preview for the upcoming May 8 episode of 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 (via People). In the clip, Kara says she’s feeling a bit “blindsided” by Guillermo’s sudden demands for a computer.

She tells the cameras, “He knows that we are on a tight budget right now. I’m like getting started in my real estate career, and he’s not able to work for God knows how long.” She says, “We have about $6,000 saved, so I don’t think spending a thousand dollars on a laptop is the best way to be spending our money right now.

Kara offers Guillermo her computer to use, but he’s not having it. He says, “I won’t touch your computer because I’m sure if I f*** up with something in your computer, you’re going to get mad with me. And I don’t really want to have like, a problem over a computer. I will just get my computer.”

Guillermo feels like Kara is condescending to him ‘like a little kid’

Despite Kara trying to explain the budget to Guillermo, he insists on buying a laptop for himself. She tells him, “I know there’s things you want, and I want you to have them, right? But we have to do it in a timely fashion.”

Guillermo tells her, “I understand you like to control those kinds of things, but also. I don’t want to buy my computer in five months.”She explains to him again the importance of having savings since there’s no way of knowing when he can start working.

However, Guillermo is convinced that Kara is trying to control him. He tells the cameras, “I don’t like her talking down to me because she’s just trying to make me feel like a little kid.”

Guillermo says, “We are spending money together. We are building a life together. It’s like I just got here, and you want to control me?” He concludes, “I mean, she’s not my mom.”

Will Kara and Guillermo get married?

Will this couple be able to work through their differences and marry before the visa is up? Despite Guillermo and Kara being head-over-heels in love, they tend to argue a lot. Kara, who is very stubborn, likes to have things her way. While Guillermo, who left everything behind in the Dominican Republic, is trying his best to adapt to his new life in the US.

In the 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 trailer, Kara and Guillermo are arguing just a few days before their wedding, questioning if they should even go through with the marriage.
