‘90 Day Fiancé’ stars Emily and Kobe moved quickly in their relationship

90 Day Fiancé couple Kobe and Emily met when they lived abroad in China. Emily worked as an English teacher while Kobe modeled underwear. One night at a club, the couple met when Emily saw Kobe dancing on the dance floor, but it didn’t take long to get intimate.

“We hooked up that night, and we had sex, and it was really hot. It actually happened in the shower on the floor for two hours.” The Salina, Kansas native continued, “I thought Kobe was just going to be a really fun one-night stand, but things got really serious, really fast.”

Emily tells 90 Day Fiancé producers that Kobe proposed to her in Xi’an, China, but about four weeks later, she said she “felt really weird.” That’s when she took several pregnancy tests and confirmed she was pregnant.

Emily’s parents seem concerned about how fast the relationship between their daughter and Kobe moved. This hints at potential issues down the road.

‘90 Day Fiancé’ star Kobe can’t work for at least six months after he arrives in the United States

When the 90 Day Fiancé couple first met, Kobe worked as an international underwear model. However, his modeling career came to an end when he returned to his home in Cameroon. Kobe doesn’t do anything at the moment, according to Emily. That means Emily’s parents are footing the bill for Emily, Kobe, and their son, Koban, for the first six months.

Emily’s parents seem skeptical about her relationship with Kobe

When Emily told her parents she was pregnant, she said her mom was disappointed that the couple wasn’t married. On top of that, Emily’s mom said she felt like Emily and Kobe hadn’t spent enough time together to really get to know one another. Her dad also worries Emily and Kobe might have another child before Kobe has a job and they’re financially comfortable.

Emily’s dating history doesn’t bode well for the couple

The 29-year-old 90 Day Fiancé star admits her track record with dating isn’t great. She also mentions that two of her ex-boyfriends are now in jail. Emily told producers that she typically goes for the bad boy type when it comes to her dating life. Her mother hopes Emily and Kobe’s relationship lasts long-term, but she voices her concerns to Emily in the premiere episode.

‘90 Day Fiancé’ star Kobe makes comments about Emily’s weight

After two years, when Kobe and Emily reunite, she’s ecstatic to see him. She tells 90 Day Fiancé producers, “He looks good. So good!” However, Kobe’s response is less than flattering.

When asked about his feelings, he says, “She’s changed. Yeah, she’s gained weight, but it’s not about how she looks.”

Kobe doesn’t want their child to breastfeed because he doesn’t want to ‘share breasts with his son’

The biggest red flag in Emily and Kobe’s relationship is his hesitancy toward her breastfeeding Koban. In one scene from 90 Day Fiancé Season 9, Emily uses a breast pump while talking to Kobe.

Kobe tells Emily, “Babe, this isn’t normal. My younger sister she stopped breastfeeding when [her] son was like seven months.” Later in a confessional, he says, “I love breasts, to be honest, and I can’t be sharing breasts with my son.”
