Debbie tried to sabotage Colt and Jess’ relationship on ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’

Debbie hasn’t been a fan of Jess from the very beginning. And when she accompanied her son on his trip to Brazil to meet Jess’ family, she started interfering in their relationship

“I’m really worried that Jess’ intentions are to marry Colt and have babies and become a citizen of the United States,” Debbie told 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After producers earlier this season. “I don’t think Colt is really aware of the plan if that is the case.”

After meeting Jess’ father, and seeing the couple name their future children, Debbie decided it was time to split them up. “I met Jess, she seemed to be in a little bit of hurry about getting married,” she said. “I will do everything in my power to sabotage his relationship.”

While in Brazil, Debbie told Jess about Colt’s ongoing friendship with Vanessa Guerra, the woman the couple had been fighting over for weeks. This revelation planted a seed of mistrust in Jess’ mind. And after discovering Colt was talking to other women and had moved in with Vanessa, Jess ultimately dumped him.

Debbie says Jess tried to use Colt for a green card

Throughout this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Debbie suggested that Jess wasn’t right for Colt. And in the Sept. 20 episode, she reiterated her suspicions that the Brazilian nanny was only with Colt to get a green card.

“She went after you hook, line, and sinker,” Debbie tells Colt. “She used you from the beginning. I think she wanted citizenship. I think she wanted a green card. She was using you, and you don’t need that kind of relationship.”

Colt lied to Jess throughout their relationship. But rather than defend his ex and admit his wrongdoings, Colt told his mom he wishes he never got involved with her in the first place..

“I should have never loved Jess,” Colt says. “I go from one f***ked up relationship to the next, doing the same pattern over and over again. And I don’t want to do that anymore. I want to break free.”

Jess slams Debbie and says she should teach Colt to be a ‘better man’

Soon after the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After episode aired, Jess took to Instagram to respond to Debbie’s allegations that she was only with Colt for a green card. She pointed out that she not only out up with Colt’s lies and that she dumped him as soon as she found out he was cheating.

“Watching the episode tonight, I found this so ridiculous this lady accusing me to be using her son for a green card,” Jess wrote in the Instagram story. “If I was after a green card and not love, I would accept all the cheating games [and nude] pictures sent to multiple women [sic] and all [the] gaslighting.”

“But I stand for myself,” she continued. “I was looking for true love and respect. She should spend the times she uses to manipulate his life to teach him how to be a better man to women.”

She ended the post by telling her followers never to be with someone who treats them badly. “Ladies, when you treat yourself like a queen, you will never accept a man who does not.”

As seen in a preview, Jess and Colt will face off in the upcoming tell-all episode. Hopefully, Jess will get a chance to confront Debbie and finally clear the air face-to-face.
