What happened between the two ’90 Day Fiancé’ stars?

Paul and Karine moved from Brazil to the United States, as seen on this past season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever. Karine reluctantly left her family behind, hoping Paul would get a good job in America to provide for her and their young son, Pierre. But when Paul was unable to secure employment, they flew back to Brazil.

After completing filming for the season, Paul and Karine came back to the States. And in late July, Paul went live on Instagram and shared video footage of an altercation he had with Karine.

The fight led to Karine calling the police. She told them that she felt unsafe around Paul, but he insisted he did nothing wrong. In the video, Paul is also heard talking about calling Child Protective Services.

After the fight, Karine left Paul’s house with Pierre. In another Instagram post, Paul claimed Karine was missing and that the authorities were searching for her. But on her own Instagram page, Karine clarified the matter, writing,  “I also would like to state that I’m not missing. The police knows where to find me if they need me.”

In a recent interview with 90 Day Fiancé blogger, John Yates, Paul said he regretted airing his marital issues publicly on social media. He also refrained from saying anything negative about Karine — who he is expecting another child with — and revealed that they’re now living together and trying to work things out.

“I regret saying a lot of things, I think that I should have really been a lot more professional, a lot more private,” said Paul. “And I regret things, I’m sorry. I hope and pray for brighter days, and for positive things to happen that we could all be at a peaceful future, a good future for everybody.”

Paul told Yates that he and Karine would be in Brazil for the birth of their second child. But eventually, they’ll apply for dual citizenship and move back to the United States.
