The beginning of 90 Day Fiancé stars Syngin Colchester and Tania Maduro’s tumultuous relationship was documented during Season 7 of the popular TLC series. To the surprise of many fans, they continued their international romance and are now part of the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? But, it appears they are still struggling to make things work, and Syngin recently posted a comment that has fans thinking he and Tania have finally called it quits.

Syngin is unsure about life in America

During a recent episode, Syngin confessed to Tania that he isn’t sure about settling down in America with her even though he moved to Connecticut to be with her. At the same time, she has been vocal about her plans to settle down and start a family with the South Africa native.

Unlike most 90 Day Fiancé couples, Syngin and Tania actually met at a bar in his home country while she was traveling, instead of connecting online. Fans have witnessed Syngin’s move to America in previous episodes, but he doesn’t seem happy.

The couple decided to make another move to a warmer part of the United States, but they had to put those plans on hold when she broke her foot during a car accident. Syngin is clearly disappointed that they can’t move to a warmer climate, and Tania knows he is starting to resent her.

The biggest problems in their marriage, though, are money issues and Syngin’s drinking. Tania can’t work after the accident, and he hasn’t found a job yet. Tania confronted Syngin about drinking too much during a night out, and that is when he told her that he feels “suffocated” by her.

Syngin also told a shocked Tania that he wasn’t sure about living in America permanently. Then he admitted that the only reason he came to the U.S. in the first place was to be with her, but he was now having doubts.

Tania wants a future with Syngin

It was clear during the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé — which they taped before the COVID-19 pandemic — that Syngin’s admission came as a surprise to Tania. She wants to settle down in America now and start having kids, so she broke down in tears and asked Syngin why they were living together if he was so unsure.

“I feel like now I am worried, because it’s like, like, what are you doing with me then?” she asked him. “I’m confused. So then that’s something you should’ve thought about, because I said it. So when we were living together and you weren’t thinking about a future together, I was.”

He told her that he flew halfway across the world to start a new chapter, and he wanted to do that with Tania. However, now he isn’t sure that he is ready to do that.

Syngin also brought up the issue of Tania telling him back during their original run on 90 Day Fiancé that she didn’t consider him to be her “soulmate.” He is confused why she wants to be with him and start a family if they aren’t soulmates, and he told TLC cameras that they should have resolved their problems before getting married.

“So, I sometimes think, like … the only reason me and Tania did get married is because of the 90 days and the K-1 visa,” said Syngin.

’90 Day Fiancé’ fans are getting mixed messages

Syngin and Tania gave two interviews recently where they claimed to still be together and working on their marriage. He told Entertainment Tonight that he was committed to Tania, and he thinks there is a “good future in America right now for me.”

“There’s definitely a lot going on, we’ll have to see,” Syngin said about possibly moving back to South Africa. “I think for my immediate future, yes, I think I am on the right path [in America].”

She later told Fox News that they started marriage counseling to work on their communication skills, and she claimed that has helped their relationship. Tania explained that they were in “vacation mode” after getting together “on such a whim.” She added that if love was the only thing they needed to make their relationship work, then they would not need any help.

Syngin and Tania also revealed that they were quarantining together in Connecticut, but they were hopeful they could make another trip to South Africa soon.

However, according to Soap Dirt, eyewitnesses spotted the couple in the middle of a heated argument in public. Those who witnessed the fight said that it appeared the couple was “done” with each other and the relationship was over.

Syngin has also been doing some traveling without Tania. He’s been posting pics from his travels on social media. And, when a fan asked how he is able to travel so much he had a surprising answer.
