‘90 Day Fiancé’: Tania Thinks Someone Is Her Soulmate… But It’s Not Syngin

Tania Maduro hasn't earned many fans among '90 Day Fiance' viewers who've seen her relationship with South African fiance Syngin Colchester play out. On the Jan. 19 episode, "Blindsided," Tania shocked fans yet audience with her admission that she didn't think Syngin was her true soulmate.

Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester are one of the most controversial couples on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé Season 7.

In particular, viewers have been shocked by Tania’s behavior, including admitting to flirting with other men, failing to get their temporary home (a she-shed in her mom’s Connecticut backyard) ready before Syngin’s arrival, and heading out for a 30-day intensive workshop in Costa Rica during the couple’s first 90 days together in the U.S. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans believe Syngin gives more to the relationship than his fiancee does.

On the Jan. 19 episode of 90 Day Fiancé, “Blindsided,” many fans had those suspicions confirmed. Tania and Syngin signed up for an astrology reading to discuss their chemistry and the future of their relationship. But during the reading, Tania dropped a bombshell revelation that had Syngin wondering if he should pack his bags and head back to South Africa alone.

Tania opened up about her romantic history during an astrology reading

On “Blindsided,” Tania explained that she and Syngin were undergoing an interpretive reading from an astrologist, Daizy October. The purpose of the reading, she explained, was to “see how the stars and the planets align for us and see how we are in a relationship together.”

The 90 Day Fiancé star added that she thought she and Syngin would be able to understand each other more deeply after the reading. “Everything has energy,” she said. “We are energy beings, and I was born at a certain time for a certain reason.”

The 29-year-old said she felt Syngin wasn’t her ‘true soulmate’

But Daizy’s reading wasn’t as fun and lighthearted as Tania and Syngin might have anticipated.

When the astrologist asked the 90 Day Fiancé couple if they thought they had a soulmate connection, Syngin was quick to say yes.

“I definitely feel that,” he said, looking at Tania affectionately. “I wasn’t always into believing in past lives, but our connection is so vivid.”

But Tania wasn’t so sure. “I don’t think I have that full soulmate feeling,” she said, leaving Syngin crestfallen.

After the reading, Tania explained herself further, saying, “I’ve had that strong connection with you.” Still, she told her fiance she didn’t have “that deep sense of just knowing your souls are meant to be. I don’t know if our souls are meant to be. I feel that we’re meant to be now and you’re meant to be the father of my children.”

Hurt, Syngin said Tania’s admission was ‘bull****’

Not only did Tania say she didn’t think Syngin was her soulmate, but she also admitted she felt she’d already met hers in this lifetime.

“I feel like I’ve met my soulmate,” the 90 Day Fiancé star confessed. “I feel like my first love was my soulmate.” She explained that, while she felt she knew her soul would always be linked to her first love, she didn’t feel that way with Syngin.

Syngin became visibly angry and felt betrayed by Tania’s confession. “It’s something you’ve been hiding away,” he declared, adding: “You’re still young and dumb as well.”

Finally, after some back and forth, the 90 Day Fiancé star told his bride-to-be: “That’s bull****. I need a break.”
