Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou appeared on seasons 4 and 5 of  90 Day Fiancé. Though time has passed since their seasons aired, Nafziger still finds it hard to watch herself on the show despite some of the good moments that they may have had. Her reasoning for not rewatching has nothing to do with the arguments that she and Tefou got in, it’s actually more about herself.

Nicole and Azan’s relationship

When Nafziger first arrived in Morocco to be with Tefou, fans felt that something was off between them. It seemed that Tefou wasn’t happy to see Nafziger at all. Later, the two canceled their wedding and instead used the money to open a beauty shop in Morocco. Fans constantly called Tefou out and warned Nafziger and her family that he may have just been using her.

“I am always concerned that someone will try and take advantage of one of my children, but I have also said that he seems like a really nice person,” Nafziger’s mom Robbalee once wrote to a concerned fan in an Instagram comment. “The world is full of loafers, all over the world, the only difference is he is a none [sic] working boyfriend in another country. We have them here too. I would rather have her here, but she is in charge of her own life and has to make her own decisions. I can only guide her to a better one. The rest is up to her. I love her no matter what. Thank you for your concern!”

Eventually, Nafziger decided to quit the show due to all of the harassment from viewers.

Why doesn’t Nicole watch old seasons?

Nafziger and Tefou went through a lot together on the show. Though Tefou claimed to be using the money that Nafziger sent for the wedding to open up a beauty store, it never actually happened. There were a lot of lows in the relationship that would be hard for anyone to look back on. But their relationship problems aren’t the reason that Nafziger doesn’t want to watch her seasons. She just doesn’t want to watch herself remake old mistakes.

“I literally can not watch myself on past seasons. I am so cringy [sic],” she wrote on her Instagram story on Sep. 17.”It may have taken some time to learn and grow but I have. And I recognize my mishaps.”

What has Nicole been up to lately?

Recently, Nafziger received lots of backlash from fans after going to visit Tefou in Morocco. What was originally intended to be a short trip turned into a months-long stay after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic made it hard for Nafziger to travel.

Fans berated Nafziger for leaving her daughter May for so long, but Robbalee claimed that Nafziger did not abandon her daughter.

“There was no abandonment,” Robbalee wrote to a fan on Instagram. “She (May) is getting to spend some time with her grandparents while her mommy is away. There is a lot more to this story than a simple answer.”

She went on to explain that she felt lucky to get to spend so much time with her granddaughter. Nafziger has since made her way back to the United States and has been reunited with May.
