90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans are currently in the throes of the new season of the show. One of the newest couples on the show is the Ellie and Victor pairing. Ellie is a seemingly well-meaning woman from Seattle who has suffered a lot of tragedy. Victor, her boyfriend, lives in Providencia and doesn’t seem to be as in love with Ellie as she is with him. For this, and many other reasons, fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way are begging Ellie not to marry Victor.
On ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,’ Ellie revealed that Victor cheated on her
In one of the first episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Ellie revealed that she met Victor while on vacation in Providencia, a small island just off the coast of Colombia. She thought that they were on stable ground when she left. But after she returned to the United States, Ellie found out that Victor was cheating on her.
What’s more, she didn’t find out from Victor that he was unfaithful. Rather, she found out through Victor’s girlfriend that he was being unfaithful.
And it gets worse. According to the below YouTube video, the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star is also allegedly physically abusive toward his girlfriends. But it’s unclear whether he was physically abusive toward Ellie, as well.
Despite this terrible behavior, Ellie still moved to Providencia to be with him
Despite the fact that Victor hasn’t been the best boyfriend to Ellie, she still moved to Providencia to be with him.
“The fact that I came down here on a wing and a prayer, and I’m gonna be able to get on that boat tomorrow [to Providencia], and hopefully find Victor, makes it all worthwhile,” she said on the show (via Entertainment Tonight). “Everything’s kind of unknown at this point. If I take this journey and I can’t find him, I’m gonna be really heartbroken, you know? And this might be my only chance.”
Eventually, the pair reunited on the last episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which initially aired on TLC on Sept. 19. But despite their reunion, fans weren’t exactly happy for Ellie.
Fans are begging Ellie to reconsider
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans love live-tweeting during the show. Through the hashtag #90DayFiance, fans find other fans that share their opinions on the various couples. But while many fans are divided about the other couples on the show, they’re almost unanimous in their belief that Ellie shouldn’t marry Victor.
“Nope. Cheating and bulls***? Nope. Hard pass,” wrote one fan. “Like most people on this show, she’s blinded by attraction and giving up everything for someone she has a physical attraction to that she hasn’t known that long. Plus he’s lied & cheated. Deal-breaker. She should literally run for the hills,” wrote another.
Even pop culture commentators from Vulture are commenting that the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star can do much better. “Victor isn’t a blatant scammer faking affection, but it also seems like he’s just a really charming guy taking advantage of a situation,” they wrote.
But that said, there are rumors that Ellie is back in Seattle — so it just may be that she’s come to her senses after all.
