‘90 Day Fiancé’: The Surprising Name Brandon Has for Julia

Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé has finally premiered, and a few of the couples have been highlighted so far. One of the new relationships taking center stage involves Brandon–27 and Julia–26. Brandon lives in Dinwiddie, VA, and he met Julia for the first time over video chat. Julia is from Krasnodar, Russia, but the distance didn’t stop them from wanting to be together.

In the premiere episode, Brandon reveals a surprising name he has for his future wife.

How did Brandon and Julia meet?

Brandon and Julia met when Brandon’s best friend went to a club where Julia was working as a go-go dancer. The couple was first introduced over video chat, and a relationship blossomed from there. They talked on the phone many times before Brandon traveled to meet her for the first time several weeks into things. It’s then that he asked her to be his girlfriend.

The couple actually attempted to get Julia a visitor’s visa to come to the United States, but when she mentioned that Brandon was her boyfriend, Brandon says she was told she needed to apply for the K-1 visa. So Brandon decided on his second trip to see her, this time in Iceland, he would propose, and he did just that after five months of dating.

Brandon explained to a producer his reasoning behind proposing to Julia after only meeting on two trips: “There’s no shot of her getting a visitor’s visa, so it was either go for the K-1 visa, or just walk away from this thing, and I said let’s just go down this road, see where it goes. This was really the only option.”

The couple has a lot of differences since Brandon is from a small town where he helps out with his parents’ farm and dog breeding kennel business and he works in pest control. Julia is from the city and works as a go-go dancer, so there are stark differences that can be seen right away. But Julia is coming to the U.S. on an approved K-1 visa, and she’s expected very soon.

The surprising name Brandon has for Julia

Brandon and Julia met for the third time in France along with the couple’s parents. Apparently, the parents all got along well, but Brandon saw a different side of his fiancé on their third trip together. He has a surprising nickname for her now too, which might surprise some fans.

“And I did at first have this image of perfection when I first met Julia,” Brandon admits to the camera. “And it might have been a little shattered when I saw her again in France. I started to see, you know, her bad side. The fact that she had some bad moods and things that she wants to harp on me about. I call her Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, because one minute, you know, she can be a total angel. And the next minute, she could explode.”

As Brandon travels with his parents to get Julia from the airport, they talk about the trip to France, and Brandon’s father, Ron, says it was “embarrassing” for him and Betty, Brandon’s mother, when Julia was “upset” with Brandon.
