‘Before the 90 Days’ Season 5 star Alina allegedly fired by TLC

The Ashley’s Reality Roundup claims TLC fired Alina, and producers are scrambling to edit her out of the remaining episodes left to air this season.

According to the site, “The Ashley’s sources at TLC— the network behind the 90 Day spin-off— tell her that the decision was made over the weekend to hack Alina from the show, due to multiple racist, racially insensitive and offensive social media posts she’s made in the past that have continued to surface.”

The Ashley’s Reality Roundup also says, “The Ashley’s sources tell her that the show’s editors are currently scrambling to cut Alina— who hails from Russia and is appearing on the show with her Arizona-based man Caleb Greenwood—out of future episodes.”

Alina Kozhevnikova posted multiple racially insensitive social media posts

On Jan. 11, the Before the 90 Days Season 5 star posted what she referred to as a “throwback photo” on her Instagram account. In the photo, she wore a red bandana tied around her head. Alina also used makeup to pencil in a dark beard on her face. The image itself wasn’t particularly offensive. However, the caption she used along with the picture caused fans to do a double-take.

She wrote, “Yo [expletive] gotta do sum [sic] gold diggin #gangsta #mymomwantedason #throwback #homecoming” Before long, negative comments began to roll in, and the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star deleted the post. It didn’t take long before people found other posts containing racially insensitive language.

In a Facebook post dated May 20, 2017, Alina wore a veil. She wrote about becoming the “134th wife” as a reference to polygamy. People often connect polygamy to Islam and the Muslim culture. However, the modern Muslim interpretation of the practice is that it’s allowed but “unusual and not recommended.”

Fans were outraged by Alina Kozhevnikova’s behavior

When yet another social media post popped up with Before the 90 Days Season 5 star using the incredibly offensive language, fans called her out immediately. The Instagram account @90ShotzFired posted an image of a Facebook post of Alina using the N-word and claimed Alina tried to backtrack on her behavior.

The Instagram account @90ShotzFired wrote, “Well Alina, you denied saying the N-word… accused a blogger(Mommy) of photoshopping. You got caught in that lie then switched it up & claimed English isn’t your language as the next excuse… English isn’t your language right?(Even though you speak it very well including derogatory terms & outright racism.) This is the second time you used that word and took it to another level. This is disgusting!”

TLC has not given an official statement on the matter, but if the claims are valid, fans can presumably expect one before the next episode of Before the 90 Days Season 5 airs on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022.
