90 Day Fiancé is the gift that keeps on giving, especially when it comes to spinoffs. This time around, however, TLC is trying a new format. Among others, TLC has invited controversial cast members Tom Brooks and Babygirl Lisa Hamme back for a spinoff entitled Strikes Back. These two reality stars, among others in the latest season, have received a lot of online hate. Now, TLC is giving them a chance to strike back at the haters with a self-shot series.

Tom Brooks’ big mistake

Since the new 90 Day Fiancé spinoff will be featuring cast members defending themselves from haters, as reported by Soap Dirt, let’s address their major gaffes.

Tom Brooks and Darcey Silva were a holdover couple from a previous season. Brooks and Silva had a tumultuous relationship. Brooks seemed unwilling or unable to commit to the high levels of emotional commitment Silva required.

This season, the two finally ended their ill-matched relationship. Brooks and Silva met up for coffee, during which Silva questioned Brooks about recent photos showing him with another woman.

Brooks, meanwhile, claimed Silva was too hung up on her first 90 Day Fiancé ex, Jesse Meester. The messy conversation ended with Brooks asking Silva, “Did you put weight on?”

This comment landed Brooks in the dog house with many fans of the show. Brooks has since gone on to criticize other women based on their appearance via Instagram comments.

Babygirl Lisa Hamme admits to using racial slurs

90 Day Fiancé star Babygirl Lisa Hamme, on the other hand, faces a bevy of challenging moments throughout her time on the show. Most notably, Hamme has admitted to calling her Nigerian partner, Usman Umar, the n-word.

During the tell-all, Umar revealed, “Lisa, last week you called me n*gger which I know is totally inappropriate in America. You called me n*gger, I don’t even get angry about it because I am used to how you are behaving.”

This comes after an entire season of Hamme trying to bulldoze Umar when it comes to decisions about his lifestyle, career, and their relationship. Umar has previously argued with Hamme about how she treats him.

Umar’s own mother feared that Hamme would treat Umar like a “slave” in the United States. Hamme has faced intense backlash for her behavior on the season, though some fans seem drawn to the drama she foments.

90 Day Fiancé fans do not seem thrilled to see Babygirl Lisa Hamme and Tom Brooks back on their screens. Most of them would rather not tune in at all.

One YouTube user commented, “I can’t do nothing but laugh at this 90 day spin off line up…Lisa is the worst one…if it was a different line up of cast members I would watch it, but NOT this one.”

Another added, “I will not be watching! TLC is the new Jerry Springer! These people are so gross and not worth the time of day.”

90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates posted about the spinoff as well, and his followers seemed equally unenthused. One user wrote, “This is getting ridiculous. Stop torturing us with these people.”
