’90 Day Fiancé’: Tom Brooks Claims He Is Done With the Show, But Not Necessarily Reality TV
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Tom Brooks is swearing off the hit reality show. After another drama-filled season of Before the 90 Days, Tom recently revealed that he is quitting the TLC show for good. Although Tom may never appear in 90 Day Fiancé franchise again, he is open to starring in a completely different reality show.
Tom and Darcey call it quits on ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’
Tom experienced quite a bit of ups and downs with Darcey in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Although Darcey’s first visit to the United Kingdom did not end in an engagement, things looked promising when Tom gifted her a key to his place.
Their relationship, however, completely fell apart in the weeks after her departure. Tom got particularly irritated when Darcey refused to leave him alone at all hours of the night, constantly texting him even when he said he was busy.
When season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days came around, the two were all but over each other. Things got even worse when Darcey’s twin sister showed her photos of Tom getting a little too cozy with a mystery woman.
Even still, Darcey gave their romance one last shot at the end of season 4. But after meeting Tom at a restaurant in New York City, he admitted that he was seeing another woman and took a swipe at her appearance, asking her if she had “put on weight.”
Varya Malina comes to Tom’s defense
Needless to say, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fans were not happy about the weight comment. Although viewers were quick to blast Tom and his behavior, one of his co-stars, Varya Malina, recently came to his defense.
According to Screen Rant, Varya opened up about her interactions with Tom during an interview on The Domenick Nati Show. Despite his villainous ways, Varya complimented Tom for being “a great guy.”
“I agree. I think he’s a godfather of all 90 Day Fiancé cast members,” she stated.
Varya added that Tom often looks out for other cast members. She did not go into any details about what Tom has done for anyone, but it is definitely good to know that he is kind to some of his co-stars behind-the-scenes.
Did Tom try to get with Avery?
That said, there could be another reason why Tom was so nice to Varya. During part one of the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all, Tom reacted very strangely when Avery appeared on the screen for the video chat.
In fact, Tom cut off his feed as soon as Avery got on, leaving some fans to wonder what happened between them.
According to In Touch Weekly, the real reason Tom ditched the second half of the tell-all for a quick smoke was because he attempted to hit on Avery on social media.
A source claims that Ash reached out to Tom to see if he would ask Avery out on social media. Ash apparently wanted to test Avery’s faithfulness to him during one of their breaks.
The insider says that Avery accepted Tom’s invitation to hang out, which is why he got so weird when she came on the video chat. On part 2 of the tell-all it was revealed that Ash had gone so far as to lie to Avery — again — about receiving a screenshot from Tom containing his entire interaction with Avery.
Tom says he is done with ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’
With the drama between Tom and his co-stars heating up, he recently appeared on The Domenick Nati Show to discuss his time in front of the cameras.
At one point in the interview, Tom was asked if he would be willing to do one more season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. In response, Tom revealed that he never wanted to be on the show in the first place and that he was done with the franchise.
He did, however, say that he was totally willing to appear on Pillow Talk, and is also interested in Dancing with the Stars.
“I think I’ve been judged unfairly,” Tom added.
TLC will air a 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days behind-the-scenes special on June 14.
